The article does bring up some good points, especially the importance of being ahead of the curve on these things. Also that there are probably many more cases of this virus among us than we are aware of at this point and as a result the death rate is probably a lot lower than what has been reported.

One glaring problem is that he's reporting that 28% of the tests performed in the US are positive. In the WhiteHouse press conference yesterday it was stated that only about 1% of the tests done in the US are coming back positive. I assume he is simply working with old numbers when very few tests were being performed and only on people who were very symptomatic. Using updated numbers on the test-positive rate would probably change some of the assumptions in a big way.
