He tweeted that it was like having a cold. I’m glad he’s sharing his experience. People will see that it’s not a death sentence for healthy people.

8
MAGA_USA 8 points ago +8 / -0

If it's just like a cold, then why was he tested?

8
myswedishfriend 8 points ago +9 / -1

100% of the deaths have been people over 50.

70% of the deaths in the U.S.A. were in one nursing home.

Please don't think I'm crazy, but I'm beginning to believe my family had the coronavirus back in December. Here's why; my husband travels a lot, about 3 out of 4 weeks a month. In early December he traveled to Europe. Shortly afterwards he became ill, but thought it was a cold. I was the next to get sick, then it spread to our college aged daughters who were home for Christmas break. I remember staying in bed all day Christmas Eve & most of Christmas Day. By now, we were sure we had the flu. It was bad, but no vomiting or diarrhea. The coughing would make me gag & I would almost vomit from that. We were both exhausted and agreed we had never been this sick before. One night I almost woke him to take me to the hospital because I couldn't catch my breath. That was scary, but that was the worse night. After 4 weeks of being sick, he went to the doctor's office (I know, not smart, but we rarely go to the doctors). They said they had no idea what he had. They tested him for the flu, which came back negative. They loaded him up on antibiotics, Flonase and steroids. I ended up not bothering going to the doctor because they didn't seem to help much, neither did our daughters. It took us 5-6 weeks to fully recover. My oldest daughter seemed to recover the quickest (eats healthy/works out a ton). Luckily it hit during the Christmas break while they were home and my husband wasn't traveling. Just to be clear, it was more like a really bad cold than the flu. The coughing & being tired was the worst part. I'm only saying this because I'm hearing more and more that it might have been in the US earlier than first thought and misdiagnosed as the flu. If it was misdiagnosed as the flu, that's proof it's not as bad as the media is saying.

I’ve been having the same thought! I November of last year I got sick in the philippines. Two nights of high fever. followed by a stuffy nose that would not go away for three weeks and a cough that persisted for almost two months.

10
Granny 10 points ago +10 / -0

Also wonder about the Iranian officials who came down with the Wu Flu.

9
PichaiLiedToCongress 9 points ago +10 / -1

My theory is that their doctors have advised them to catch the virus ASAP so they'll develop an immunity to it, because it could mutate into something much worse.

Hopefully this won't happen, but it did happen with the Spanish flu epidemic. The first wave was relatively benign, but then it mutated into something much worse.

3
myswedishfriend 3 points ago +3 / -0

If it mutates, that would nullify your immunity. This is why you can get a cold or influenza more than once.

One_Man_Militia 6 points ago +7 / -1

You naturally developed antibodies to anything you catch and live through. Where the hell do you get this nonsense?

2
Shroudedf8 2 points ago +3 / -1

Please provide evidence to back up that statement. I have seen nothing to suggest that is the case.

7
RabidZoo 7 points ago +7 / -0

They have stated that people have gotten it and tested positive. Then gotten better and tested negative, then tested positive again. That doesn't mean it's true. This IS the media we're talking about here.

8
malarkybot 8 points ago +8 / -0

Honestly, it's because the virus is here, and has been here, for a much longer time.

We have had no testing for it here, and I know several people who have had illnesses over the flu season which come back negative for the flu with similar kinds of symptoms.

Remember, the vast majority of people just have mild to moderate symptoms, get better, and move on with their lives.

The good news is, this may mean we have more people already resistant, and that it may be no worse than a bad flu in terms of mortality.

The bad news is, once we roll out widespread testing, we're going to see a massive spike in numbers, which is going to freak people out.

4
sixfingerdildo 4 points ago +4 / -0

i wonder about that. I had a seriously bad cold in jan/feb where i was coughing up bloody snot.

5
WatchMaga 5 points ago +5 / -0

It’s called False Positive.

Only wealthy can afford the test. The test is shit.

It means they've all been in contact with the Chinese.

4
Digfoot 4 points ago +5 / -1

With 24/7 wall-to-wall coverage, you'd think they would be looking for material with substance.

Why are there no interviews of people who had it then recovered.

They could go on and say, "Man, I was coughing, sneezing, shitting, and dying. Worst 2 weeks of my life. Hoo boy, I don't want to go through that again."

But, I havent seen a single interview with a survivor.

What's up with that?

4
Spezdrinksassjuice 4 points ago +4 / -0

Because then they couldn't hype up the "fear". Fear sells. Not recovery stories.

Trick question...The answer it is hasn't bypassed the majority of us. Relatively few people are being tested, and a large number of infections are either asymptomatic, or have symptoms very similar to cold or flu.

One Hollywood actor out of thousands, one member of parliament, and one football manager is hardly enough data points to establish any kind of trend other than that they either 1) Travel (Tom Hanks & wife were infected in Australia), or that they encounter a lot of people on a daily basis.

0
myredditnameisfake [S] 0 points ago +1 / -1

There are no trick questions..Only questions and Tom only got tested after arriving in Australia, he got it from somewhere else, if he truly even has it.

1
quodvox 1 point ago +1 / -0

You're right, I believe he was just diagnosed in Australia.

if he truly even has it

Now that's Inception-level thinking right there.

Pretty sure there's a simple explanation - Tom Hanks probably travels a great deal more than you or I and sees far more people. Also, with how many hundreds or thousands or actors, at least hundreds with name recognition, it would be far more suspicious if none of them got sick.

2
myredditnameisfake [S] 2 points ago +3 / -1

He is a deep state actor. His twitter page makes Jim Comeys page look normal. Comey is always in the woods or some shit and Hanks is always taking pictures of single lost gloves of children..Dont ask me what any of it means, but it is fuckin weird
