And some language on taking over property to house GOV personnel, i.e. Quartering. It's like they wrote a list using the bill of rights as a template but made everything the opposite.

This is a great time to remind everybody reading this that the “Republicans” / “conservatives” / “right wing” / “libertarians” of today are predominantly the ideological descendants of the anti-federalist movement that advocated the Bill of Rights.

The “progressives” / “liberals” / “Democrats” / “leftists” are predominantly ideological descendants of the Federalist movement that wanted a big federal government and no Bill of Rights to protect individual rights.

Unfortunately, the 3rd Amendment has not yet been fully incorporated against the states. Only a single Appeals Court decision prohibits it, in Connecticut, New York, and Vermont.

But, the 3rd Amendment only prohibits quartering of soldiers. Taking property for any other use would covered under due process, i.e. the 14th Amendment. That would only prohibit taking the property without compensation to the owner.

the 14th amendment is routinely violated and those violations affirmed by SCOTUS in court decisions of the 70's and referenced currently.

see hate crime legislation, most every CA gun law, special class rules, sentencing discrepancies... The list goes on.

This needs to get overturned asap. I live in the bay area and I'm frankly surprised it hasn't come here yet

Good luck finding people willing to go door to door. You might get some volunteers at first who naively think that people will obey the confiscation order, but they'll dry up real quick after the first couple people get blasted off a porch by a 12ga.
