i see what you're saying, but he's probably got it. he's got the flu! his wife too, i think...

so... both have the flu, they'll stay at home a few days, drink plenty of liquids and will be feeling fine in a few days. then they'll go on tv to tell everyone their horrible ordeal...

The regular flu kills 56000 a year nation wide. Why hasn't it been called a pandemic? Cancer kills 1000000 world wide last year. Also not considered a pandemic. The worst thing is the media in my area are all talking about the virus but haven't given any clear cut symptoms. Their symptoms are so vague. But, the virus doesn't cause diarrhea. So why are people fighting over toilet paper? What better way to remind the public to wash your hands more often.

A family I know in my neighborhood has it and are under quarantine. I know them and know it to be true. Spez my son's school was one of the first to close because of it here in the US. And we are just a small suburb of a 2nd tier city. People having it is not a hoax, unfortunately but what the true numbers are are anyone's guess. The man is a doctor but he told my friend that they got infected at a dinner party.

I would like to see video blog journals from people under quarantine, at various stages of the virus. And I don’t trust Tom Hanks to do that. He is part of the machine. He might just be doing it as a Hollywood production. I’d like to see real people blogging on their webcam in their house. And again, strange how faceless this so-called pandemic is. Nobody seems to really see it actually going on around them, but the news is acting like it’s everywhere. Just something to continue to pay attention to.

Actually, what I have been looking for on this whole CoronaVirus news cycle/hysteria are any of the dogs that aren’t barking. Basically anywhere the story as it’s being reported doesn’t match what we would expect to be seeing if the story was true. As an example on this, we are being told a lot about washing our hands, but very little on the virus itself, the symptoms, the stages of illness, recovery, treatment, etc. What should be key information during a national emergency is just being ignored, and left intentionally vague to let people fill in the blanks with whatever they want to imagine to buy into it. What about factories amping up on new crisis production? Where are the local stories on that? The crews on the ground chasing this story down? Not there. What about AOC making this about racism and not tipping waitresses? Seems a little shallow for a national emergency, doesn’t it? Even for her? And she is in the inner circles of Washington. If there was gossip about this being a true pandemic, AOC would be in the loop. Celebrities and elites would be disappearing from public, going underground. Are they? Maybe. That would be a good data point to track.

5
Returningtogod 5 points ago +6 / -1

Thank you! I have been saying the same thing - where are all of these sick people? Its impossible to believe that the state media wouldn't be splashing their individual stories all over the "news". It reminds me of 0s great economic recovery and great jobs numbers that no one could ever see. The old "don't believe your lying eyes" strategy.

4
avalonrose 4 points ago +5 / -1

They are there.! You're lucky you haven't run across any. I know for a damn fact that this disease is harming people....pedes in my neighborhood/community. It's for real, and everyone needs to be really careful. It could be that it was released with the INTENTION to kill older people, who tend to have more conservative values than the young.

I think they've had it about a week. From my friend who has brought meals to their door and texted with them, she says they are doing pretty well and don't seem especially concerned about it. They are a really nice, conservative Christian family.

8
lifeisahologram 8 points ago +9 / -1

The reason why it seems so much less than is being reported is because almost everyone can recover without ever even showing symptoms.

Hell many of us here probably already had it. And didn't even know.

But that doesn't mean it's not dangerous, because there are plenty of people who can't or wouldn't be able to recover. But the more people it spreads to, the more likely hood those people will be exposed.

He Joe Rogan interview the other day had a good interview about it. Basically, you can very easily get it just breathing within 6 feet of someone.

3
coffee_grdr 3 points ago +5 / -2

they have the flu... its good they're under quarantine so they don't spread it, but seriously... they just have the flu...

I work for a Health Care Organization with 30 affiliate hospitals, there have been ZERO (0) cases of Coronavirus so far. I actually think the administration of the hospitals is collectively saying to themselves, "WHAT THE FUCK" is the hysteria about? It's ok to be cautious, like looking both ways before you cross the street, but this shit is like looking both ways a thousand times before the invention of the automobile.

My daughter works for a Chief of Staff at a very well known hospital. The paranoia is unreal. No one at her hosptial is panicing. In fact they don't have any cases either. I had two doctors who were situated in a local grocery store and no one ever approached them concerned about being tested or being unable to go to a hospital. They were amazed at the 2 hour wait line to check out with food, water and TP. When I asked them their take on all of this, they said if you wanted to use this as a "test tube" for how chemical warfare could bring down countries or create total chaos, you are witnessing it first hand, The run on hand sanitizer was a joke. They said using soap and hot water is just as good. People are forgetting many things. If this was as extremely deadly on large scales, meaning that it was non-selective and causing death across all age groups and health statuses, then you will see a pandemic like the plague or ebola. Hygiene should be a 1st priority at anytime. People who chose not to vaccinate are setting us up for some re-emerging bad diseases. Interesting takes, both which liberals and celebrities wouldn't embrace. BTW one of the doctors is not a Trump fan but admitted he was spot on for his actions and that it showed a real gap in letting our medical appliances and med production be moved to China and how socialized medicine is not going to work here. That from a liberal. He stated that socialized health care is a government worker mandated by the government heads as to what will be acceptable services. Something that most medical communities do not want. Only those who have small fledgling practices are for it because they can be supported whether their practices are built upon good doctors or not. Meaning they are not considered specialists in their fields and not embraced by the communities they serve.

My wife and kiddos had the flu (type A). This was 1 week before the media virus hit the US. They stsrted with dry cough then had high fevers. It lasted 10 days with my youngest. Doctors ran many test but for pneumonia. They were cleared. After the panic set in across the country from Wuhan, the flu was going around like crazy in our town. It only magnified the panic. That's why the South Korea data is so important. 96% of all their tests came back as cold, flu or pneumonia. I believe the flu season is adding fuel to the fire.

2
RahkeemTheMachine 2 points ago +2 / -0

Same here 2 weeks ago. We had flu A and B. Only know because my youngest tested positive for it. But mine started with shortness of breath, dry cough and 103 fever.

1
rmbeaird 1 point ago +1 / -0

Or has anyone come to the thought that the virus was actually well footed prior to November?? China isn't the most transparent and after their hit with MERS they wouldn't dare admit to this. It wasn't until it became so rampant and many of it's citizens now have relatives working in many countries where word got out that they actually fessed up. Not saying that it doesn't transmit fast, but who says this doesn't morph into something that can test out as A or B. I have heard of more A and B positives this year than ever before. Yes people got the flu shot but the shots didn't cover A and B strains.

0
Deleted 0 points ago +1 / -1

The flu this year is exactly the same with was 2 years ago. If it came over early from China, we would have seen a spike earlier in outbreaks. 1.2% of all suspect cases test positive. I don't believe China had a rampant outbreak. I think they lied and infected people and put them on planes to the US and other countries, cruise ships and so forth. This was an attack in my opinion.

15
Steve_OH [S] 15 points ago +18 / -3

Sorry if the post was misleading. The point wasn’t that ‘this is a hoax’, but how few people actually have it and how much panic there is over that compared to say the epidemics during the Obama presidency.

6
commies0ride0free 6 points ago +6 / -0

I’m thankful for the post. I was feeling really chill, but they cancelled all the schools in my state and people whose opinion I usually respect have started to freak out and I was questioning if I should be more concerned

4

Probably was. If it as infectious as they say, it’s already been everywhere.

If it as deadly as they say, we’d already be dead

For older people, it absolutely is deadly. If you're younger than 60 and have relatively good lungs, you wont die.

They started off as very mild. My wife and I have had the same symptoms and almost same severity throughout. We're on day 4 now, with symptoms probably somewhere between mild and medium. I ended up getting very nauseous and vomiting last night. Lots of coughing and chest congestion.

Overall we still feel "okay". I was able to work out in my garage yesterday, had to take huge amounts of rest between each set to keep from coughing too much. Still overall feeling tired and winded though

9

3
Saremei 3 points ago +4 / -1

Headache and achey joints are NOT coronavirus. That is flu. Coronavirus is entirely repiratory.

2
Dell_Fargus 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yes but no.

The headache comes from the constant cough and fever. Same with the aches. See my above responses.

3
Mrdarkshine 3 points ago +3 / -0

Supposedly achey joints isn't a symptom. More likely flu.

1
Dell_Fargus 1 point ago +1 / -0

Sorry for the late reply, was sick.

We tested negative for Type A & B flu. Our family doctor tested us in her office on the spot after wife started getting pneumonia like symptoms. The covid tests take 5-7 days to get results, so we'll know for sure soon. When you're constantly coughing, feverish, and laying around, you ache.

2
rmbeaird 2 points ago +2 / -0

Get mucinex D and an humidfying machine to keep from aggravating your lungs from inflammation from coughing and help to keep them clear. That isn't a treatment but more likely to help relieve either allergies (which are in abundance now as well as sinus infections and colds/flus) Lots of vit c and for those who are fine, elderberry boosts your immune system. Lots of native american plant remedies are helpful and actually used in medicines today. Mullien and chokecherry are big ones.

1
Dell_Fargus 1 point ago +1 / -0

We did!

Mucinex helped, Delsym also kept the cough down. Alternating Motrin and Ibuprofen kept the fever and headache under control. The vaporizer worked wonders. I also kept a bottle of Afrin next to the bed to keep my sinuses open and to keep the post nasal drip away. I'm also big on cherries, elderberries, and blueberries for other issues.

One thing that I found helped was drinking white Gatorade. During the worst part of the sickness even drinking water burned our throats, which were raw from all the coughing. Something in the Gatorade (high fructose corn syrup?) gave our throats a coating that soothed the irritation.

6 days in, I'll say that the first 3 were misery. The last 3 have been more like having a bad cold with the worst hangover ever. From my experience it seems that the virus opens the door for other sicknesses - wife has pneumonia like symptoms now, I have a banging head cold. I'm functioning on Dayquil now.

My adult son and I avoided my wife as much as possible while living in the same house, and we both got it within a day. My tweenaged daughter didn't care - she was hugging everyone, giving back rubs, etc. Despite her not listening to us to stay away, my daughter didn't get it - it seems to not infect kids. Sucks for her, since she has had to sit in her room healthy the past week.

4
lifeisahologram 4 points ago +4 / -0

Well the virus in and of itself isn't dangerous to most people (notable athletes who got it have already recovered, never showing symptoms once), but it is spreading very quickly, and much easier than other similar viruses. This has a huge possibility to hurt a lot of people who aren't as healthy, because the more people carrying it, unknowingly/unaffected, exposes those who are susceptible to it.

We still need to be cautious.

So by this Thursday she had symptoms and called out and they sent her office mates home.

A co-worker at my daughter's boyfriend's restaurant in Vail, CO tested positive yesterday. Vail Resort shut down as did the restaurant, Sweet Basil. enter text

I asked her if the employees that worked with the guy are being tested & she said no. Public Health Dept said only people at hi-risk should be tested (age, immunodeficiency, pre-existing conditions, etc.). I asked if a public health official from the town, county or state gave instructions to the staff to monitor themselves or self quarantine... she said no. How asinine is that! There are 20 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in little Eagle County, CO (pop 52,000), you'd think someone from EMS, or Public Health would set clear guidelines to cull the potential spread.

enter text "In Eagle County, however, testing has been scaled back to where only high-risk patients are being recommended for testing, so the actual number of people with COVID-19 in the area is likely to be much higher."

I met somebody today who was in the hospital 3 weeks ago with severe upper respiratory flu symptoms. He said they tested him for the flu and it wasn't the "regular" flu. Young guy. 28 years old.

There a pretty decent chance everyone already got it, and didn't have symptoms.

How could Tom Hanks, Canadian Castro's wife, Bolsano, and the entire NBA get it, and we don't have it?

Also how would it get to Iran? I'm pretty sure half of the high level people that died were assassinated with Corona being the cover.

I know there is at least one business less than a half hour drive from me that had an employee on site that was confirmed to have coronavirus. Thing is, the incubation period uncertainties can mean it could sweep through infecting people for up to 14 days before it got noticed. Who knows who may have picked it up from that guy, and who else might already have been infected by the person that still doesnt know they have it.

I’ve been hearing rumors that this thing has been circulating a lot longer than we thought. Drs have reported that they have been treating a mystery illness in which patients test negative for flu despite having all the symptoms but have been diagnosed as having pneumonia. If true, I may have had the virus. I live in Idaho and if the official reports are to be believed then I wouldn’t have ever gotten the illness. But if these rumors are to be believed I did get sick middle of feb. I was exhausted, my joints were in pain, I had a mild fever, and mild cough. I tested negative for influenza. It put me in bed for 4 days. Magically on day 4 I was better. 14 days later to the day, my wife was hit by the exact same symptoms. She was down for 3 days... not saying it was the Kung flu, but it stands to reason if the rumors are true.

The common flu is everywhere right now, but yeah, no. How about publishing some of the names of the deceased? I didn't think so.

Oh, you must have missed the MSM explaining why publicizing the names would be bad. I understand privacy regulations, but if grandpa dies and the family wants to put the name out there, why have we not seen much of it...

I just find it odd that we're supposed to take the media's word for it and assume 40 random people have died from this with no names, stories, testimony or family giving their accounts of what happened.

I'm still coughing from the sudden onset chest cold I got almost a month ago. 3 days of headache and fatigue followed by 5 days of fever and laryngitis. I isolated myself to one room and wore a homesewn mask whenever I left that room. No one else in the house got sick. But my lungs still hurt.

I've never been to the doctor for "colds" so who knows if I had it or who anyone is who's had it. Testing isn't really available anyway.

One of the folks who works in my brother's office just got back from a week in Spain. The employee is young (early 20s) and was very happy to get back to LA.

Apparently, she was questioned at LAX at today (temperature taken) and seems to be fine. My brother and his partner are relieved she will be back at work on Monday. So fingers crossed she continues to feel fine.

I know one person that died from it and another one who is in the hospital with it. But yeah it does not spread the way they are saying it does.

I am sure testing where you MAIL IN A SAMPLE and some lab tech has to grow it en masse fir a week to sample it is all 100% non-fudged legit failproof numbers.

No chance of error.

Yup.

The CCP just murdered a couple million if it’s own people and used the virus story to cover it up

That’s where the evidence leads
