Even if you dont believe in god, prayer is a rare moment when you can dedicate yourself completely to contemplation. Knowing that God's will or the universe's plan will ultimately play out, but hoping that it's the beautifulness and righteousness in life that prevails, considering your needs, not wants, but your spiritual and physical needs, realizing that you commit your fair shair of mistakes and that you are greater than no one else, so therefore, you should give forgiveness to others, so that you may be forgiven, and lastly realizing the things that could make you a worse person, resisting them and avoiding the tempation itself.
