Also wanted to jump in and say that it's never too late. Just make sure that the congregation you attend has a pastor that preaches the Truth and sticks to the Bible. Check the church website for a statement of faith and make sure it lines up with Scripture.
Jentzen Franklin was a guest pastor at our church once. It was obvious to me that God guides his words. There's no pressure, when He's got your back!
Had to add, after the service I heard Jentzen Franklin had a book for sale in the church lobby. I was fully prepared to go buy one, even got in line. Then found out someone from our church bought ALL the books and was giving them away to whoever got in line!

Jesus was the only pure human ever and similar to how lambs without blemish were sacrificed, He instead was sacrificed. He knew this was going to happen and didn't avoid it.
