In all seriousness, Islam caused the dark ages...and then after 400 years of slave raids and losing territory, Europe responded with a few military expeditions that were largely unsuccessful. Egypt, the Middle East, and all of North Africa were Christian for 700 years before Islam. Turkey was Christian for 1900 years until the Turks did some genocide.
