This whole thing stinks to high heaven. At most so far 59 people have died, with most of them being in one nursing home in Kirkland WA. The media is fear mongering harder than ever to make orange man look bad. Schools and businesses are closing which is sure to send us into recession if not worse. Out of 330,000,000 people, 59 have died in the US and everything is screeching to a halt. Something isn't right here but it's fucking everything up. The economy was the best it's ever been in the history of our country and now everything is going to shit because of less than 100 deaths. More people probably die each year from skiing accidents. This is un fucking believable.
EDIT: I'm not saying this is a total hoax. I'm saying the media overreaction is making things way worse than they have to be. Panicking is never going to make anything better. If this is truly as bad as some of you are saying, I hope it justifies sending our economy into great depression 2 Corona boogaloo
Wuflu is like a plane crash. It's far rarer than car crash, yet the news coverage is like carpet bombing, every outlet is weighing in on it. What's really frustrating is that the vast majority of those "news" are actually OPINIONS and REACTIONS from commentators, contributors and some so called experts, meanwhile there's very few information about what's really going on. They're just hyping it up and spreading fear as if the sky is falling. Also, no matter what news you watch, in one news cycle all the stories are centered around one event - Russia Russia Russia, dismemberment of that journalist by Saudi Arabia, impeachment, Solameni drone strike, and now the freaking chicom virus. I can't find anything else to read. Even lifestyle and entertainment section is full of these stuff. I'm so sick and tired of today's 24/7 news.
Yeah, those people are lazy. They are one monolithic incestuous community - including FOX. They sit in their studios and dressing rooms all day quoting each other and reacting to each other.

Obviously, the media HATES Donald Trump and will invest 100% of their time trying to scare people. They tried convincing America that Russia was a threat, and after a year, a lot of the country saw through the bullshit.
Now they're running their FUD playbook on Covid 19, and they've managed to crater the entire US economy... Over 41 deaths. 77% of those deaths were in a single nursing home.
It boggles my mind how people are incapable of doing the most basic math: even IF you get Covid, your odds of surviving are 99% if you're under the age of 50.
But the media isn't looking at it from THAT angle, instead they're making shit up, saying "millions could die."
This is a total political hit job. They're still suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome, which is everlasting disease in the mind compared to the Wuflu. They desperately need this to attack the president and distract from the disaster of Sleepy Joe at the same time. Tell you what, man, you may remember COVID19 was being reported for a while, then shifted to Dem primaries, and now somehow they are all back in on this. The real reason is that they're wrapping up the primaries and pressuring Bernie to quit. It is crystal clear that Sleepy Joe is in cognitive decline, and they're now trying to keep him from any public appearance so he won't embarrass himself. House whip Clyborn spit it out the other day that it won't be necessary for Joe to continue his primary campaign since his nomination is already a sure thing. This virus outbreak just provides them a perfect excuse for that. It also allows them to call the president to cancel his rallies. This is all of a strategy to get the heat off that old fool and prepare for their next move.

Not only that, but I truly think they enjoy what they're doing. Like sexual fetish moisture-and-erection kind of pleasure. This is the kind of thing that defines them as "journalists", and they are not going to let this opportunity go to waste.
They're also using this opportunity to snipe at Trump for just about anything to imply that he's doing a bad job. So naturally when people are hearing that there is an out-of-control virus and that the President is totally mismanaging it, they are thinking the worst.
