Can confirm. Went to an Academy in TX and the people were 3 deep at the gun counter. Most of the handgun ammo and all of the buckshot were gone by 1 PM
I ordered from academy on Friday morning and got my email that it will be here tomorrow. I ordered mostly 22lr as it’s more practical for the abundant smaller game here and can be used to take a deer unethically if it comes to that. (Hunting ethics go out the window if you’re family is starving)
I already had a bunch of 9mm, ordered a bit more 5.56 and only a little of 6.5 creedmoor.

Retting is where I previously bought everything I own, though I don't go anymore because they basically A) got too jaded with an endless stream of awful customers and became assholes and B) their prices are quite bad.
Their "gunsmith" is a fucking joke, too. I won't even go into the details, but if you need an LA gunsmith I can recommend a much better option.
I hope every first time gun owner going into that store realizes how stupid the 10-day wait on picking up your gun is. And then vote pro 2A forevermore after that. Oh well, one can dream.
