You know this is exactly the short definition of "conservative" vs "liberal" according to Haidt. I'm having problems finding it now, but he did a Ted (boy have those gone sideways) where a liberal is so ready to "new experiences" that she refuses to FOMO. Whereas a conservative likes new experiences but wants to vet them first and understand that their are pros and cons.
