Is he one of the good ones? I'm really having problems trusting preachers that for some reason or another feel that they have to put on a show like this.
I'm from a small place and I'm trying to find my way home to God, but my area only has one congregation and it's tied to a church that marries gay people so I'm highly skeptical of it being a "churchian" church. The priest seems to be ok though he even used one of his recent sermons to say that if The Bible tells us that something is wrong it's still wrong even if the church bureaucracy wants to tells us otherwise.
But I'm still looking for some more "fundamental" preachers to supplement with. I've been listening to some of Billy Graham's sermons, and I'll look into John MacArthur as well thank you.
For strictly teaching and understanding the Bible. I find no greater teacher than lesfeldick.org. It's a step by step from the beginning to the end of the "Bible, using only the Bible.
That isn't what this guy teaches. Be careful guys, leftist media aren't the only voices to watch out for. People within the church project their own version of Wuhan hysteria, except the goal is to divide God's people.
This Jentzen guy's basic idea when he addresses that particular topic, is that the Lord is trying to give us many things in this life. Spiritual, and yes, material. Faith doesn't conjure up these blessings, nor does it somehow compel God to supply.
It's already there. The "faith" as it pertains to this topic, is that God is supplying, so faith simply opens a person's hand to receive what is already there - putting the focus and praise on the Lord, and not ourselves.

don't put your trust in the preacher, put your trust in the Lord. The preacher is a messenger, nothing more, nothing less.
Amen.
Yes, but to some extent you need to trust that the messenger is actually delivering a message from God.
"then you read your Bible.
that's where it helps to have read and studied the bible.
Yes, but time spent listening to the bad preachers is usually time wasted.
Thank you.

Thank you. I hate the division.
