How do I post a meme

Every time I upload an image and submit it comes back with post must be image , link, or text. Am I doing something wrong?

How can you create a meme on mobile? Is it possible? I'm not very tech savvy either, more a wrench jockey.

click submit a link and then select image and the upload it.
