lol how is that racist? people want food that will last, not something you gotta eat before it gets to room temp
Not only that; no one is more likely to have been to China than Chinese people who live in the U.S. American citizens and legal residents can still come back home from China, and even though there is probably some kind of screening before they are let in (a questionnaire and a temperature check, maybe), I'm pretty sure they aren't testing asymptomatic people whom they don't have a reason to claim was in contact with anyone infected.
It's only normal for people to want to avoid increasing their chances of having contacted with people who have a higher probability of being carriers of the virus. If the virus had come from Germany, people would be avoiding German markets (if they exist), and German restaurants. It has nothing to do with racism or xenophobia, but what can we expect from brainwashed leftards?
That is true, but only the title of this thread mentions sushi. The actual tweet claiming racism refers to ASIAN markets in general and mentions no specific food item. In reality, people have been avoiding Chinese markets and restaurants. Some may be avoiding all ASIAN food (just to make sure, I guess), but the majority probably isn't. Also, some markets may sell Asian food items from several different Asian countries, including China and Japan.
Nobody is avoiding Asian restaurants. They're avoiding all restaurants, because they're staying home, or they're busy trying to find some fucking toilet paper (or food).
That's true now. But, at first, people were mostly avoiding Chinese restaurants, and I bet that people who do still go to a restaurant, will likely and understandably not choose a Chinese one. It just has nothing has nothing to do with racism or xenophobia.
Rice is a great staple if you think you might be stuck in for a while. Long shelf life, and easy to make many, many dishes with. It's a perfect food to stock up on, because with that long shelf life, if you don't use any during the Coronapocalypse, you can use it all long before it expires.
Sorry I don’t want perishables.
Sushi's shelf life is measured in hours, unless you want crappy sushi.
I will buy it at the store while grocery shopping, but only if the sushi chef is still there, and I plan to eat it as soon as I get home.
Plus, you can't make sushi without putting your hands all over it.
The sushi chefs at my store wear disposable gloves. Elsewhere, your mileage may vary.
The left a few weeks ago: "OMG! White people and their sushi. It's not yours! That's cultural appropriation!"
The left now: "OMG look at all the sushi! What racists!"
Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Everything is racist to the racists.
No shit, isnt sushi full of raw shit? Not for me, never have liked it.

Shelf life is crap, virtue signaling bitch! Edit, and if it's so good then hoard it and keep your mouth shut!
But I bet all the rice is gone.

Immigrates for a better life in another country. Shows gratitude by Immediately calling the citizens racists.
Oh yeah. I forgot about the expense. It’s a luxury, not a shelf stable staple.
Continuously showing their level of stupidity!
How about no one with a brain stocks up on something that goes bad in 24 hours, you dumb cunt?
Yeah.... I'd rather not eat raw seafood.
Never eat gas station sushi.
Never eat a sandwich out of a gas station vending machine either. Learned that lesson the hard way.
which is weird, right? since sushi is japanese...
Oh shit I love gas station sushi. /s.
This is sarcasm right?
Yeah... because raw fish is the best thing to stock up on for disaster prep.
Just proves asians aren't a bunch of brain dead sheep like most people.
This guy is obviously trolling. (I hope)
Isn’t Asian food the alleged cause of this? Bat Soup? If that makes me racist... I’ll be an alive racist.
I just don't understand why. Raw fish is the perfect food for a virus outbreak.
If it's prepped right and is fresh, there's no issue. I don't eat it often, but I've never had a problem unless I use too much wasabi!
There's no such thing as too much wasabi! 😰😂
I agree. But, I really suffer if I use as much as I like. To quote Mick:
The beauty is that it might burn your mouth a little, bit it'll leave something else unscathed, unlike hot salsa!
What, no bat soup?
There’s a sign in the back written in Chinese! This photo must be in Chinatown somewhere. All those Asian racists!
The stupid is strong with this one
