I don’t want to be argumentative, but I would pick a different argument to try to “take down” Christianity. “Be fruitful and multiply...” is not an all encompassing commandment, it was given to specific people for the population of the earth and specific lands. So if your are arguing that the misinterpretation of Christianity is harmful, then yes I agree with you. If your coworkers are irresponsibly having kids to the extent that they cannot provide for them then they are in violation of Christianity. The sentiment you feel towards this irresponsibility has already been stated by Christianity in no uncertain terms.
1 Timothy 5:8
“But for anyone who does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.”
