We have again made some changes to Win today:
- new, bigger "expand embed" icons (different for images/videos/tweets/text)
- fixed missing "ago" when JavaScript disabled
- fixed issue with top sort where pagination would reset you to the default timeframe option
- added an exit button to the captcha popup, in case the user decides they don't want to continue
- fixed issue where search did not support spaces
- clicking the thumbnail of a post now expands the embed (if no embed, does nothing)
- adjusted styling for the submit button when editing a comment in dark mode
- adjusted coloring of the "tag" options when submitting a post in dark mode
- adjusted coloring of the "d" in "saved" when in dark mode
- fixed issue where collapse bar showed after submitting a comment reply via inbox
The majority of changes today were on the backend of our new image hosting option, and can't be included on this list.
There have also been a few changes made to the mobile interface changes, which are currently only available to logged out users.
- replaced the upvote icon with a small version of the uptrump wall building animation
- some spacing adjustments
- added "comments" behind the number of comments
Same as last time, please leave feedback on the new mobile design (which is currently only available to logged out users, but may be enabled for logged in users after more changes and based on the feedback)

Also aware of the performance issues in the last 5-10 minutes. Hopefully these are resolved.
Experienced frontend devs, preferably with a vast /r/The_Donald history, please PM me.
Additionally, if you've PM'd me recently and I haven't yet replied: I will ASAP.
This site is infinitely better than Reddit.
The changes and improvements are terrific. Thanks so much.
INFINITELY BETTER
Seconded... Well done, folks!
Don’t know if I’ll ever go back even if t_d(reddit) gets up and running again. The work they put into this is incredible!
t_d reddit is dead. I just hope reddit don't try to ressurect it to spread fake news.
We have the best alternatives to Reddit, don't we folks?
You folks are like very stable geniuses. We really appreciate your hard work in this venture!!
We have the best Mods, don't we folks!
Weve got the best memes, best mods, best women. The list keeps going.
Some of you guys aren't to be scoffed at either.
Have a great night!
Is this the real life
Is this a fantasy?
Caught in a landslide, no escape from reality
Fucking reddit faggots
I bet you’re a real fun person then
Bet ur a fucking faggot
Calm down bby
Or just a fantasy
Thanks for the expanded embedded image; I missed that.
Stay sexy mods! Watch crowder debate livestream now! https://youtu.be/MhHe0xzZMfI
God bless you wonderful, beautiful bastards. Great job!
Great updates! You guys are on a roll!
Using a single-line comment as an example, is it possible to have the vote arrows take up the full height of the area, primarily for mobile accessibility with the thumbs attached to our YUGE hands?
Here's an illustration (I hope u/fuckallleftists doesn't mind that I feature his comment here)
https://imgur.com/igOnMpB
EDIT: To clarify, having the arrows take up roughly 64 pixel height could make them easier to toggle on mobile
I am so confused and disoriented. I just arrived from Reddit and there are all these comments below a post rather than javascript boxes and pop ups everywhere. This site seems to be about people sharing ideas and bullshit online rather than having our thoughts groomed by our superiors in Reddit's offices and the Chinese communist party HQ. Wat do?
Maybe put an "/s" on your comment, because your humor is very subtle!!
This site is becoming an actual joy to use. Thanks folks!
Bring back the "Parent" feature! Love you long time!
We love you mods, know that.
Oh I love the clicking the thumbnail to expand!! Thank you Doggos, you are the best!!
Really liking the new "expand embed" icons.
History will look back on this timeline, at this website, and on your efforts, Mods. Sincere thanks for giving us an online presence.
You guys absolutely kick ass. Thank you guys for all you do. I love the expanding thumbnails. That was driving me nuts.
Keep up the amazing work DOGGOS and team! Mods = God's!!!
🐸👌
Thank you!!!!!
Thank you for helping us to fight back, I still want to be able to donate ....
Why are links the same color as regular text? It's impossible to see where the links are.
Yep, dark mode only though. Will fix in next update.
For email address confirmation under Settings, there's a field for email address, but then underneath that, there's a field for "Password" - is this on purpose? I would think it'd be a second field to confirm the address. Why would I need to enter a password?
Am I missing something?
It's a protection against a situation where someone finds your account left logged in and changes your email address and hijacks your account. Requiring the password to change the password or the email is a standard on many sites.
u/Doggos Just tried submitting a jpg image post, it complained with an error saying that the post "must be text, link, or image".
https://imgur.com/a/bSpN0yy
It displayed the "upload" animation with the upload bar and everything.
I tried on Vivaldi and Firefox. Tried renaming the file to a one word string.
Anything else I should test?
I just tried to upload a .gif and got the same error. "post must be text, link or image."
The search feature was better, but still has some problems: e.g. "wuhan coronavirus" returns results, but "coronavirus wuhan" doesn't.
True, that will be a long term problem however.
Could we implement Google Custom Search? I've been using it for a while.
Any chance the mobile users can get the “double downward pointing arrows like on Reddit mobile that takes you to the next main comment in a post? One of my favorite features on mobile.
Yes
A setting we can select for our account to auto-hide already-read posts would be ++. I like to keep it clean so I can spot new posts, and having to click "hide" on each gets tedious.
When you are browsing and hit next, the next page contains posts from the previous page.
Can you please add, https://old.reddit.com/r/The_Donald/?count=25&after=t3_fa2f1c << that end bit, "&after"
Also, can you make a 'never ending reddit' style browsing option, without pages?
Infinite scroll is coming.
The way we generate listings needs to be overhauled before we can reasonably adjust how we handle pagination, but that is quite high priority.
Thanks, I don't know if you're the publisher, but you gave me the publisher URL.
You're right, changed it, thanks
Mods, I’m having a really hard time posting images. I did one successfully a couple days ago, but every time I try to drop some dope ass memes I get an error message or it says “post must be text, link or image”. Not sure what’s wrong.
same here
A suggestion: Blocking and removing private messages from users who are shills?
Blocking will be coming soon.
Devs here are the real MVPs
I am itching for a counter to let us know how many pedes are on the site. The real numbers will be awesome.
Push mobile to logged in users. This new interface is awesome. It's way better than what we have now. Why wait to push it?
BTW, why bother with an upvote button for logged out users? They can't vote because they're logged out plus it takes up screen real estate.
I think there's going to be a lot of criticism of it.
I've logged out on mobile just so I can use it and test it. I like it a lot. I've been using Reddit Sync on mobile Reddit for years(and paid for the app) if that gives you a point of reference.
I'm not sure if this has been suggested to you before, but is there any chance to implement something similar to RES (Reddit Enhancement Suite), at least when it comes to seeing how many upvotes/downvotes I awarded to a certain user (next to their username), a custom tag to recognize them, etc.
As always, a YUGE thanks for the efforts you are doing, both on the front end and backend. Keep it up :)
Hoverzoom not working for media.thedonald.win images. Please fix.
I forgot my password. I'm auto logged on my laptop but can't login on other devices. Anyway to recover it or do I need a new account? I tried my usual ones but can't seem to get it right.
It's amazing what can be accomplished without communism.
Id love the option that if youve up or downvoted and you refresh those posts are not to be seen.
Are the admins now gods?
Impressive seeing all these changes in real-time in just a week.
Link: I’m so used to Apollo
Can we have a way to mute or block people please?
Feature Request (if you're making a list)
The 'reddit' style for pics and memes is great, but it completely sucks for trying to hold conversations and discussions. It would be awesome if it's kept as the main landing page, but have a subsection backed by vBulletin (or similar) forum software.
It would help drive meaningful discussions and improve visitor retention times.
The site has been performing very well for me now! Thanks!
Thak you for new, bigger "expand embed" icons !!!
