Peds, has anyone heard about a mandatory 2-week quarantine our President might roll out in the next 4-72 hours? It's a military rumor going around in DC. It sounds like Bullshit to me.
I'd just say to exercise caution about any news related to this. There are a lot of rumors floating around, perhaps some have a kernel of truth, but most don't.
I can't imagine he'd actually do something like that, but if he did, it might work to at least reduce the spread of the virus.
It's been difficult to get real news during this time because almost every source is motivated by something (monetary, fame, destroying POTUS, etc). Even some of the conservative outlets are trying to make bank on click-throughs, which is disappointing.
As I mentioned in a later comment, I've started avoiding anything that isn't a direct press release/statement or original research. It's sad that we're at this point, but it's also not surprising. The media failed us a long time ago--I just wish their desperation in framing this as a disaster for President Trump would be a coup de grâce against their information hegemony. Too many people keep eating it up, though...

Agreed, seems like one of those rumors that pop up during difficult times and turn out to be false but cause more bad than good.
Yeah, exactly.

One can dream, mind you!
