Trump is the guy we want in charge during life and death government decisions.

Imagine if we had a Demoncrat administration coordinating with Deep State during this "pandemic."

DblFistinPiston 35 points ago +36 / -1

The panic would not exist, this is all made to make Trump look bad, but just like every other time it will backfire and make him look like a champ.

Do I really wanna think about what their next level of escalation is, or what they've cooked up next if NOTHING they've done so far has worked?

I said the same thing to my mother this morning. My hope that they would sit back and just let the election play out is completely gone.

EMP/Tac Nuke one of their shitholes

VetforTrump 2 points ago +2 / -0

That is what 8m looking at. Also China gonna be getting desperate as the internal strife kicks off

2
VetforTrump 2 points ago +2 / -0

I'm looking for it. The level of desperation makes it dangerous.

It's almost inevitable that we'll have to fight for this nation at some point.

This, would have been just like swine flu or ebola, back when His Holiness Saint Obama did everything perfectly in every way and anybody who says otherwise is a racist.

jiujiujiu 10 points ago +10 / -0

We did when swine flu hit in 2009. The media ignored and played goalie for their precious Obama while 1000 people died. No blame. No criticism. Democrats have infected our country and need to be removed.

2
VetforTrump 2 points ago +2 / -0

The word is 220000 already infested with regular flu. 22k died. We apparently just lived through thT. So what the fuck is this? Quiet purge. Famous people with the cirus? Watch

3
Thenew23rd 3 points ago +4 / -1

That would be a nightmare.

2
Breakfaststout 2 points ago +2 / -0

No one would have said anything and thousands if not millions would have died earlier than they should have in silence.

The pandemic would be over as soon as all the money to fight it was in the right corrupt pols bank accounts. Just like the last 8 viruses. 2004, 08,10,11,14,16 and 18. Yuh...

They tried to get him to do nothing so they could later say, he did nothing. They are working as hard as they can to get Trump on this. Biden called Trump xenophobic for banning travel earlier.

23
ChaplainTappman 23 points ago +23 / -0

Someone said in an interview that what blind sided Trump early in his presidency was the sheer scope of people "working for him" that were dedicated to making him make bad decisions. He's mastered that trend and his 2nd term is going to be a charging freight train.

34
Lla26 34 points ago +35 / -1

He fights for us. He promised he would and he always does.

It’s a GREAT twitter thread, it exposes Trump for the genius he is. And exposes academic failure and Democrap insanity

In before before Twitter yanks it:

Margot Cleaveland’s Tweet in full:

I'm reading House testimony re coronavirus and had NO IDEA how ballsy @realDonaldTrump decision to ban travel from China was! Apparently, the bureaucrats ran academic models on the scenario & those concluded travel should not be banned. Cuccinelli (Acting Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security) recommended..

2/ban travel anyway, but told Trump what academic modeling said. Trump banned travel from China and saved untold number of lives. Tell me any Democrat would have made that call!! Now, how did I discover this? Well in testimony, Rep. Dina Titus (D-Nevada) had this to say about Trump's lifesaving call....

3/ Rep. Titus went on to say: "I think it probably was and this Administration has very little respect for anything intellectual. And this is yet another example."

4/4 This is an epic case of TDS: Rep. Titus condemns Trump for being anti-intellectual for making a better call than an academic model and saving American lives!! UN-FRICKIN'-REAL.

So all this shit is being shut down but we shouldnt restrict travel from ground zero?

Hmm

6
Horkers4Trump 6 points ago +6 / -0

Remember, back then the Democrats were saying that this was no big deal.

10
ShitOfPeace 10 points ago +10 / -0

This was obviously the right choice. The fact that the WHO recommended publicly against travel bans but still advocated quarantine was not only stupid and illogical, it put a lot of people in danger seemingly because they wanted to bash Trump.

9
Mc_Z_Burger 9 points ago +14 / -5

So, there is one thing I don't understand about the people here. On one side you all keep saying "it's just the flu, bro." on the other you praise POTUS for doing everything in his power to keep the US closed off from all nations currently suffering the Corona. So which is it? Is Trump overreacting to a "less dangerous flu" or not?

edit: thanks for the replies, guys.

38
Maga_FL 38 points ago +38 / -0

Its both.

The flu itself is being blown out of proportion by media. The metrics don’t support the panic.

However, there is “potential” for this to become severe. And on that front Trump is taking action to ensure that this virus is controlled and limit American exposure to it.

28
Shroudedf8 28 points ago +28 / -0

No, he's taking prudent steps to protect the US. I don't give a crap about other countries travel restrictions. He didn't shut down cargo transport. Those of us who are preaching that this isn't that serious aren't saying to ignore it and pretend it doesn't exist. We are saying to not freak out and destroy the economy and hoard toilet paper. Big difference.

7
Herecomedatpresident 7 points ago +7 / -0

Exactly.

3
Aquamine-Amarine 3 points ago +3 / -0

I agree. Yes, we should take this seriously. But we shouldn't let the media fear monger and make everyone hysterical. Panic never does anything good.

ChuckedBeef 11 points ago +11 / -0

Trying to conflatie multiple different opinions on an internet forum into "you all" is going to create contradictions. It's not a valid way to look at things.

Both sides are correct. We have faced so much worse yet with so much less hysteria and panic signaling coming from the media, AND why shouldn't we close off our borders to threats? Especially because the extreme overreaction by the media is doing so much harm to our country and the sooner we eliminate the threat of Corona the sooner the media panic will end.

10
Ex-libtard 10 points ago +10 / -0

Its both.

8
ShitOfPeace 8 points ago +8 / -0

I think the sentiment of "it's not even that bad" is accurate for younger people, but that doesn't mean Trump shouldn't pull out all the stops to protect older and vulnerable people.

8
magabigleague2 8 points ago +8 / -0

This is why you do not trust academia whilly nilly. They are more often than not wrong.

8
PolarBears4Trump2020 8 points ago +8 / -0

Good catch, Margot

It looks like Dina Titus is a Trump hating (D) from Las Vegas, and a professor. TDS is really something

7
0kBoomer 7 points ago +7 / -0

Same "academic" models that Gore-thunberg have followed!!! All made up - out of the ass- crap from the academic experts... Have a nice day 😁

6
somethinga9230j 6 points ago +6 / -0

This fits with Trump being given intentionally extremely poor data, guidance and information from the start, such that even when he sought to be overcautious such as with declaring a travel ban from China back in January 2020, despite it being (much more?) overcautious compared to what his "trustworthy" experts, guides, etc. told him, it was still nowhere near enough.

I also cannot help but wonder if the intensive, very long campaign of concern trolling against Trump and his supporters by all-sacrificing and all-destructive "leftists" has made it much more difficult for Trump supporters to recognize real, genuine and very relevant concerns. I don't know well how to counter that, since giving in to concern trolling is not at all an option either.

So many people claim to champion "science" "facts" and "math", but really just support the corrupt and dishonest bureaucrats who cloak themselves in science, facts and math.

People like Cleveland and Trump, who are both smart and highly educated, can see those half-smart fakers coming a mile away.

Wow, another failed deep state model that is disproved by real world events... why does that seem so familiar....

2
RedPilledPreacher 2 points ago +2 / -0

I've done enough data modeling on far simpler things to know that the difference between hypothetical and actual can be quite severe due to unforeseen and truly unpredictable factors. High probability isn't certainty and even the smallest uncertainty can have a drastic impact on the results.

No matter how smart these people seem to be, it's always dangerous should the recommendation defy common sense.
