The problem is that the damage has already been done... the 2020 census is going to see an enormous power shift from red to blue states because of the tens of millions of illegals that will be counted in the census. Red states are going to lose electoral votes and seats in the house to blue states because of it. The democrats are putting all their chips in on being able to win through the electoral college from here on out. Trump did well to stop the flow of new illegals, but we needed federal laws in place to exclude illegal aliens from the census.
