Having spent a lot of time producing models and briefing people, it's amazing how the truth gets filtered out each step of the way to the top. In the end, it results in uninformed senior leaders of they blindly trust their briefings and don't get on the ground and see what's going on for themselves.

The 'according to everyone here' narrative is that covid-19 is not the population killer hysteria pushed by fake news. That it is a variant of the common cold which the highest risk victims would be the elderly and those with pre-existing conditions.

Shutting the borders from high risk countries STILL SAVED LIVES, hence the justification for doing so.
