Last night he called me that he's got 101.3℉ temperature, what should he do? I told him to call his doctor, and he says his doctor is out of the country and is having trouble getting a flight back... my sister-in-law called a friend who's an RN and she said he should basically stay at home.
Drink water, rest, eat healthy like yogurt/fruits (extra vitamin C). The high temperature is actually a good thing, as that's your body's way of fighting the virus. Unless you are experiencing severe problems like shortness of breath, there is very little a hospital can do. It's up to your body to fight it off.
And supermarket, I went to Safeway at lunch to get a couple things I needed and quickly walked out when lines were to the back of the store. Went to the dollar store instead and it was no busier than usual.
For regular stores : Going a couple hours before close (if you still need essentials) helps not only insure 6 feet of separation - but you'll find restocking going on.
I went out for a couple of non essentials 2 days ago, and found at most 2 people per aisle who weren't employees.

God fucking damnit I hate these people. I work retail. Manage a meat market at a small city in Oklahoma. My shelves are bare. My backroom is empty. The warehouses are struggling to keep up. When I have product, people are buying it faster than I can make it.
I had a transfer from another store, and people were almost snatching it from my hand as I put it out. Gone within minutes and no sign of slowing down.
At this point, if it isn't the apocalypse I'm gonna be pissed.

Honest question, how are you supposed to get supplies if you don’t go to the store? I don’t think any of us anticipated being under mandatory quarantine so very few actually stocked up beforehand.

You should always be prepared. People have been saying that for years. You should always keep enough food on hand for at least a month. And keep Bottle water. We do that and have done it for years. But then again we live on the coast and get hit with hurricanes. Hopefully this will teach people to keep supplies on hand.
A month seems excessive. I’ve always shopped a week at a time and it’s worked well. This type of thing doesn’t happen often so it’s shocking a lot of people.

This is one of those few times I count myself lucky I live in Washington on the opposite side of the water from Seattle.
Things like this aren't happening here, I went to Walmart this evening and there was like 1/10th the normal amount of people there and plenty of food. There was less than normal but I got everything I needed and didn't NOT find what I was looking for.
