It's not just a flu. It has a 6 day doubling rate and causes viral pneumonia that can't be treated with antibiotics. Flu numbers are in the tens of thousands and that's with vaccines, immunity built up, and no exponential spread.
Do you really think Trump would declare a national emergency and close the borders, trigger the sell off in the markets, and do a prime time oval office speech if we're just the flu.
