It's like Judo, when they use your own movements against you. Trump doesn't work by trying to stop the left with force, he encourages them to take everything too far and trip over their own feet. Most people simply don't want to be involved with the left's melt-down and so they lose people fast. He didn't try to stop the media from lying, he pushed their buttons to make them do it more blatantly. He baited them endlessly with false openings, forcing them to constantly reverse course and argue against what they just said.
They have grand plans, but little flexibility. Trump constantly flipped the table on them and won the scramble while they were still trying to plan. He lets them think he's a fool so they underestimate him and see him as a bull in a china shop. They're not wrong, in a way, because it's true that he makes everything into a huge mess, but he's doing it on their turf, so they're the ones left in shambles and we're all sitting here laughing our asses off at them.
That said, we should probably do more to preserve our history. Google has a way of memory holing everything and searching for memes from even last month gets hard, even with less-cucked search engines.
There's a lot of good info that's gone buried again, like Colin Powell writing to Hillary about how to use her crackberry and get away with it. Or the shenanigans she was trying to pull with her faithless electors. Yes, they gave Colin Powell one on the hopes that he could somehow become a 'compromise' candidate if they could somehow split the votes. It all failed because Trump won by such a huge margin, but none of those things were accidents, every one was them pulling out all the stops to find some crazy trick to win. There are enough shenanigans possible in the edge cases of the rules that we can't put it past them in the future.
If they get in power, expect them to expand the courts or impeach some of the judges or whatever to try to reverse Trump's reforms. I'm sure they've also been trying to feed cuckservatives in disguise as nominees the whole time as well. Time will tell who is real or not.
Oh, and Roberts? I suspect he plays moderate so they can always talk about "balancing" the court without the public realizing how far tilted it was already. The Democrats may be on the losing end for now, but they have lots of dirty tricks left to play.
