New Orleans also sent police door to door during Katrina, confiscating legal firearms from citizens, leaving them vulnerable to attack from rampaging looters.

49
Thistriggersthelibs 49 points ago +50 / -1

Antifa wants dead cops to infringe on everyone else's rights

Boogaloo types want dead anyone trying to infringe on their rights.

A subtle, yet important difference, like bees and wasps, one just wants to be left alone to do their thing but would defend their turf to the death, one will go out of their way to fuck your shit up because it's Tuesday. Wasps are cunts.

12
Ptannerdactyl 12 points ago +14 / -2

Off topic aside but you can definitely make friends with wasps. If you don’t swat at them and let them figure out what you are they won’t sting you. If you’re aware of where the nest is, even better.

Heaven forbid you’re near ones nest and don’t know though. Then they hate you. Otherwise you can talk to them and they’ll know what’s up and leave.

12
lerm4comptroller 12 points ago +12 / -0

Not all wasps are like that: some species nest alone, and some are pretty vicious. It depends where you live and what species are around, so everyone please do some research before you act like this around wasps in your area.

5
Ptannerdactyl 5 points ago +6 / -1

I agree, and it’s also important to note that they tend to be more aggressive at the end of the Summer/beginning of Fall.

Also in my experience they HATE hairspray.

1
WinMoreReeLess 1 point ago +1 / -0

One of their primary predators is the hyper-aggressive and territorial Asilidae / robber fly / assassin fly. These flies are fast enough to land on a wasp's back mid-air and deliver a bite strong enough to disable their prey. It will hurt more than a sting, for much longer.

7
deleted 7 points ago +7 / -0
1
reluttr 1 point ago +1 / -0

We call those brown wasps dirt dobbers around here.

You can tell them apart from the red bastard wasps by looking at their stinger area, dirt dobbers stinger is connected to their body with a thin tube-like extension. Where the red wasps stinger is directly connected to their body.

Also dirt dobbers build their nest from mud, where the red wasps build theirs from paper.

The red wasps are highly aggressive and should be delt with before their numbers grow to much.

Then dont come and confiscate weapons from citizens in times of crisis. Or shoot people while theyre sleeping to "just follow orders."

9
PurestEvil 9 points ago +9 / -0

The issues with police is two-fold. On the one hand, they are your (inefficient?) protectors and keep people like Antifa at bay. On the other hand, they are the people who will ensure you follow arbitrary regulations and laws and pay your taxes.

Sometimes they just blatantly execute the violation of your actual human rights out of opportunities.

I am speaking in general terms, not just US. They police can be your friend or your greatest enemy. For example, because I don't pay propaganda fees in Germany, the police may break into my home and confiscate items. If I'd be home and wanted to stop them, I'd be jailed. The court system is already fully in line with several constitutional violations and gave their blessing.

Am I the bad guy? Is unconditional obedience the solution?

3
2scoops2terms2020 3 points ago +3 / -0

Has anything happened since you don’t pay the Rundfunk Beitrag?

1
PurestEvil 1 point ago +1 / -0

Well, I get letters and I guess while I am out working they knock on my door. I assume once enough "fees" have been accumulated, they'll do it. Legally they have the authority to do so for a long time now and there is nothing I can do about it... legally. I paid the first time however after a time span of ~2 years, which was ~2 years ago.

0
CQVFEFE 0 points ago +1 / -1

What do we want? Dead cops!

-25
MerlynTrump -25 points ago +3 / -28

That's overkill. The cops are just following orders, it's not worth harming them over. Resist peacefully. Vindicate your rights in court, not by violence.

17
Crackcrank 17 points ago +17 / -0

The Nazi's were just following orders as well and was a common attempt for defense at the Nuremberg trials. I love cops and I am great friends with many of them from my work. I am no friend of steppers and gun-grabbers, which I guarantee not a single one of them is.

16

My immediate thought when I first heard this was that the virus is actually vampirism.

2
almond_activator 2 points ago +2 / -0

the virus is actually vampirism

No, vampirism is an allegory for socio-political elite pedophilia. Think about it. Immortal, immensely powerful, feeds on death, sexually aroused by preying on the innocent, giving in to the demands of one makes you a vampire as well.

Like people rationalizing sleep paralysis as a demon sitting on them, vampirism is a primitive way of rationalizing being treated like livestock for a tiny elite with no regard for their well-being and a seeming need to destroy innocence and virtue.

2

The tinfoil hat is for blocking the electromagnetic waves of thought-control technology that can apparently change and implant ideas within your brain against your will, thus controlling your behavior outright—the ultimate goal of the authoritarian-government mindset embraced and exemplified by the deep state.

This concept will continue being a hilarious joke until it's proven conclusively true, by which time it will be too late to do anything about it. Pretty ingenious, actually.

When in doubt,. the Democrat heart inevitably turns to a craving for brutal oppression.

17
CQVFEFE 17 points ago +17 / -0

It's almost as if the same defective gene that confers collectivism—the overwhelming conviction that the individual human is only a REPLACEABLE CELL within the larger, much more important organism called Homo sapiens—also carries the obsessive compulsion to enforce this anti-human-nature concept with violent authoritarianism and disregard for human life, whether unborn, recently born, aged, or somewhere in between (because, again, we're each merely a CELL).

6
Scroon 6 points ago +7 / -1

I wouldn't say it's a defective gene, but it is real, and it is a dangerous one. The natural sexual process of genetic diversification will produce individuals (and eventually communities) that prefer collectivism to independence. This is how alpha predators became pets.

I don't know about you, but I don't want to be a pet.

4
xBigCoffinHunter 4 points ago +7 / -3

And in line with common sense. I feel it’s an over reaction but the guidelines are rooted in common sense measures to stop the spread. Shit we should shut it down every year. Nobody would get the flu.

2
Rusty_Shackleford 2 points ago +2 / -0

This is not to prevent people from getting the flu, it's to prevent our health system from being overwhelmed. This is much more contagious than the flu and hospitalizes many more. The healthcare system in other countries have been completely overrun. They can't handle all the coronavirus cases, and they can't do anything else either because their beds are all full of coronavirus patients. It's like a DDoS attack on our healthcare system. We have to slow it down and spread it over time to prevent the whole system from crashing like Italy or Wuhan. The normal flu never hospitalizes enough people to threaten to DDoS our entire helthcare system, that's why this is different.

Hopefully the courts shut this shit down. Here is what Louisiana law says about this

Louisiana Revised Statutes Annotated section 40:1796(A) provides:

No governing authority of a political subdivision shall enact after July 15, 1985, any ordinance or regulation more restrictive than state law concerning in any way the sale, purchase, possession, ownership, transfer, transportation, license, or registration of firearms, ammunition, or components of firearms or ammunition.

6
DisgustedByMisleadia 6 points ago +6 / -0

Nice find, thanks.

In the aftermath of the confiscations following Katrina, this federal law was enacted:

https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/42/5207

But, that's for anyone acting from federal authority, or federal funding. And it doesn't addresses sales, just confiscation.

Hopefully, someone will file a challenge quickly. We have a similar law in Texas, and it took a round of high profile slapdowns to get municipalities to start abiding by the law.

Totally untrue. Stop buying into bullshit media narratives. Are you so naive as to think that shit began with Trump?

To the extent that Katrina was more of a disaster than any other bad storm, it was due to three things that had nothing to do with Bush: the disastrous local response (all Democrats out to get Bush and blame him), the terrible state of the levees (local corruption again), and the media attempting to derail the response wherever possible.
