The swamp is deep, and the only people who were doing their jobs and not playing politics was the federal agency in charge of building them. Literally everyone else was and have been lining pockets because of the way it worked/works. It's fucked up.

Blanco and contracts and the national guard federal response delay.

Levee construction and maintenance, federal funding.

Mayor milk chocolate was a stooge and an idiot.

Moving the pump operators to a safe place that was so safe they can't get out to turn the pumps on and the city was overwhelmed everywhere.

Those are the reasons Katrina was a disaster.

Totally untrue. Stop buying into bullshit media narratives. Are you so naive as to think that shit began with Trump?

To the extent that Katrina was more of a disaster than any other bad storm, it was due to three things that had nothing to do with Bush: the disastrous local response (all Democrats out to get Bush and blame him), the terrible state of the levees (local corruption again), and the media attempting to derail the response wherever possible.
