And in line with common sense. I feel it’s an over reaction but the guidelines are rooted in common sense measures to stop the spread. Shit we should shut it down every year. Nobody would get the flu.

This is not to prevent people from getting the flu, it's to prevent our health system from being overwhelmed. This is much more contagious than the flu and hospitalizes many more. The healthcare system in other countries have been completely overrun. They can't handle all the coronavirus cases, and they can't do anything else either because their beds are all full of coronavirus patients. It's like a DDoS attack on our healthcare system. We have to slow it down and spread it over time to prevent the whole system from crashing like Italy or Wuhan. The normal flu never hospitalizes enough people to threaten to DDoS our entire helthcare system, that's why this is different.
