That night when I went home I read the article from the CDC recommending that businesses are recommended to stay closed for 8 weeks. Once I read that my heart dropped and the worry set in. After two weeks, I have no idea what I'm going to do. My company will not continue to pay me for 6 more weeks. I know I can do unemployment, but once we reopen the fucking economy is destroyed. I'll be lucky to have a job when this is over due to people being out of work and broke. This is real life for a lot of us. It's not going to be over for most of us in two months let alone next fall.

I think Shiva is a fraud. First he claims he invented e-mail, now he's suddenly an immunologist? WTF? I am an immunologist who lives in the Boston area and I would have been aware of him being one as well because I followed his recent campaign (during which he never mentioned being an immunologist).
That said, independently of Shiva, I agree that this Corona scare is blown out of proportion. Isolate the elderly and sick, let everyone else get infected and there will be no more spread because everyone is immune. The Brits are currently doing exactly this. The same happens with the flu every year, yet we don't panic. And while we have a flu vaccine, we don't have a Corona vaccine so there's not much we can do other than that. It's certainly not worth destroying the world economy.
