Happened about two years ago but needs to remain relevant news; Pick is a Vietnam vet, Silver Star recipient. He’s an avid firearms collector and bought the M14 almost 40 years ago at a gun show. Kept it locked away the entire time, only showing it to close friends. His son rats him out and 2 weeks after his wife dies the ATF raids his home in the middle of the night. He’s sentenced to 7 years, at 70 years old. Nothing about this case aligns with the Constitution. The crime should be null according to the 2A. The punishment is disproportionate, he never used the weapon or even brandished it. The sentence means nothing in terms of “rehabilitation”. This is just the Feds saying, “You broke our made-up, unconstitutional law, so we are going to lock you up and throw away the key”. Never mind his service to country.

NFA '34 and all its iterations, GCA '68, FOPA '86/ Hayes Amendment should all be nullified. Arbitrarily enforced regulations by an un-elected bureaucracy are in no way, shape, or form constitutional.
