I would much rather see a long term, if not permanent payroll tax cut or virtual elimination. It would seem to have less of an impact of the valuation of the dollar versus just pumping more money into the system.
It would be political suicide for them to block a bill like that. The dems have only one platform they run on - free money. If they block that money in the middle of a crisis when Americans actually NEED it, then Trump becomes the good guy and they can't allow that.
Instead the dems will stick all kinds of poison pills into the bill - stuff like including illegals in the payout.
Any legislation involving taxes is required to originate in the House of Representatives. At present, you'll never be able to get reductions in taxes for working and middle class Americans through the current Congress.
