The only things that were in short supply were eggs, toilet paper, and cleaning supplies. On Saturday the same store was nearly barren.
Meanwhile, in Cuba, 50 years later and everyone is still on ration cards.

All the major stores got ransacked in my area. The grocery story I work at wasn't hit until target, Costco, etc were empty. That gave my store time to prepare for the impending nightmare that has been the last 5 days. We are good on TP and paper towels but most everything else is gone. I like seeing the store do really well but not when people are panicking and scared.
The Walmart I work at has it good and bad. Some shelves are stocked full. Others are empty.
The funniest part, no one wants to touch anything vegan.
The weird thing at my store was how no one wanted ground turkey. Our entire meat department was empty, except the ground turkey which was untouched.
I understand why people would prefer beef. But, we use ground turkey instead of ground beef for almost everything. If both of you have issues with cholesterol, it's one way to mitigate it.
No, we haven't given up beef completely. We still eat it about once a week.
