i think it should be illegal for foreign nationals to own american property, myself. rent 'til the cows come home....but you can't own. mexico doesn't allow any foreign nationals to own beach front property, iirc. fact check: mexico doesn't allow ANYone to own beachfront property...it belongs to the gov't, from the high-tide line, inland 32 miles. viet nam, greece & thailand are also tricky (not impossible, just very, very complicated.). foreigners can't own land in denmark or switzerland.

The USA should just tell China that they are forgiven and their bonds are no longer valid. #IsolateChina
