“Despite its relatively meager financial rewards, journalism remains an appealing profession for a certain type of person. Typically, this is because journalists have a lot of power. This is not that power to build people up, but the power to take people down. Journalism is most successful when it humiliates, and the power to humiliate is what draws people to the field.
Anyone who has spent time with journalists- and is not one himself- can see that they are often cruel people who take a fairly unconcealed pleasure in inflicting emotional pain. I see this type in the confinement center; only here they are called sociopaths. In journalism, envy and resentment become job assets because they fuel the journalist’s ambition and drive. So journalists, like community organizers, have their own set of talents. They too are part of the resentment industry.”

This is so perfectly stated.
[Journalists] are the kids in school who were the jerks, the tattletales and the busybodies. [They] think everything is [their] business, and if you choose not to disclose something that is none of their business, then you've got "something to hide," and you're part of a "cover up"!
To [them], the power to "get someone in trouble" is the most delicious thing on earth.
That profession also attracts narcissists, and the local newspaper editor in my town is a prime example of that. The guy is in love with himself and uses his editorial position spread his leftist political opinions and virtue signal.
I used to be friends with a guy who became a journalist for several years. Most hateful human being I've ever met. Smart guy, but nowhere near smart enough to realize he wasn't as smart as he thought he was.
This fact angers me. Instead of focusing on what's important, the anti-American media and the anti-American DemocRats instead focuses on the sham impeachment. Imagine: had we have much more advanced warning to the public at large for the potential outbreak, we would have much more support for early counter-measures like shutting down travel to China and have much more time to prepare supply and money stockpiles at home and for our small business.
In addition to China, I am also blaming the Democrats and their media allies for this crisis we are experiencing. May they suffer greatly for their crimes.
It's not anti-American. It's anti-common sense, anti-Western Civilization, anti-liberty, anti-individualism. But they are also pro something - so they either throw the rocks at you, or they help building the catapults that will. That's in essence socialism, government power, aristocracy as a whole.
Socialism is nothing but a big "I know better than you what to do with YOUR resources and liberties and I have NO restraints from taking them - actually it makes me even feel good."
Being a "journalist" (=ideological propagandist) is essentially equal to being a noble, an aristocrat who can shape the views of the masses and/or rail them up. It is as close to being in power as it gets without being part of the government. They are the channels, invokers of an ideology that runs rampant in society and politics. They harness the powers of the collective flow of thoughts - which btw is fueled by the Marxist leaning education systems. You can see that hive mind spilling out on social media as well.
So in case someone try to frame these mainstream media as a product of a (relatively) free market - they really are not. They are tapping into something that exists because governments create it - and that for many decades.
everytime i bring this up to a lefty, they just pause in shock remembering that the dems were trying to impeach Trump for what was another media hysteria over Ukraine...which was promptly forgotten about after the vote.
In fact, Trump was taking the virus seriously while the Dems were focused on impeachment and the MSM was more concerned about 'xenophobia'.
Dems were more worried about how many black and brown lesbian women was on his wuflu response team
I read that on the all white board at HuffPo.
Asians you say?
Like, they're all the same right?
It's a pity the MSM will never report the truth.

"community organizers" Nice little dig there

I fucking love Dinesh! Great quote.
Yeah but too broad a brush, I agree there’s a lotta that, but I know a lot of good people too
Sure. And where the heck are they? Why don't these "good people" ever speak up?

They are so dumb! They forget Bernie Sanders was tweeting that this is of less concern than even the common flu. Ridiculous!
Schumer Tweeted it was premature Feb 5th.
