If you go grocery shopping, thank the people working there too. Stores are busier and crazier than ever, not to mention the employees exposure to the Wu Flu.
There was a truck stop near our horse farm so we used to eat there five or six meals per week (could mean breakfast, lunch or dinner).
And as my sons got older -- and when I divorced their mother -- we started going to the truck stop for holidays like Thanksgiving or Easter to get our turkey or ham. Instead of ME cooking, we'd go out, and it became a sort of tradition.
When I was younger and at the bars until 2am, we'd go to the local truck stop late night to "refuel." There was a salad buffet and all you can eat deals. I'd order the "King Of The Road" - chicken fried steak and hash browns. I'd ask the waitress to keep em coming but I could only eat about three. lol My friend (never to be outdone) ate nine chicken fried steaks one night.
I loved that truck stop and it was a popular spot in our small southern town. Also a tradition among friends.
This can’t be said enough. This industry gets harder by the year. Supply Chains squeeze them, Government squeezes them, and people want them off the road. Yet everyone needs them...
Yes we are.
Damn, there goes my "social distancing".
I had one flip out once because I suggested that she should pay me....LOl. that'll teach you to wake my ass up at 3am.

Real shame they did not all quit and learn to code...
It's nice that the roads are much more open for them.

And a railroader too!
Please be safe!
Truckers and blue collars everywhere are keeping this whole country going right now.
Not if the Green New Deal were in place. Those idiots think electric cars will run themselves and magically transport goods from one city to the next.
