Probably not because parents will continue to have to fund the government schools through their property taxes.
If there was a voucher system where parents who home school could get a large portion of their property taxes back...then it might be more feasible for a lot of people.
But as it is now both parents have to work to pay the high property taxes/high rent caused by high property taxes.
We are having the conversation in our house right now. Even if you pay property taxes your child can still do sports at the school and after school programs. I think it's going to be a wake up call for lots of families. Plus were a 1 income house (truck driver). My wife is a strong smart woman. Anything has to be better then the current system....
The financial hit can be hard, but my wife and I came to the conclusion that there’s no point in having children if you’re just going to let the state raise them.
