We actually are doing things different here, which is why people are angry. POTUS acted quickly with first steps and is acting quickly with these steps too, in comparison to where we are on the trajectory of spread.
testing does nothing but a data point. When found with it you are sent home. the only thing will give democrats new talking points to spread panic. there are hundreds of thousands already infected we didn't test that 85% will not even know they have it or have very mild symptoms that will then become immune.
Chinese Wuhan Flu is upto 3-6 times more contagious than normal flu. It spreads like wild fire and will attack the lungs just like MERS and SARS the two that came before it. But Wuhan Flu can destroy lungs of weak folks including young people that are sick and have bad immune systems.
This is not the flu, it is the brother of MERS and SARS.. and is way more lethal than both.. BUT that said 85% are 100% fine.. so this is all about protecting our older and weaker folks and stopping the spread otherwise we could lose a Vietnam's worth of old people in months time..
Without a vaccine to stop the spread, the only other way is to separate people. this is why GEOTUS had to lead the country and do the right thing. to protect us..
Hospitals are fucked in liberal sanctuary cities. hold the fuck on, it is going to be a very wild ride for a while. extreme cases have followed a repeatable curve of 33% every so many days..
BUT this shit has been here since Dec, and already ran through a lot of the eastern seaboard.
Anthony the expert said this yesterday, he sent CDC officials out to hospitals to look at records the high number of flu like symptoms in Jan that did not test positive for flu were corona
I was listening to KFI yesterday and they had some microbiologist on who studies pandemics. He said that usually in infections like this, the strain has mutated somewhat by the time it gets to around where we are at. The initial infection will spread like wildfire, but since most mutations are going to be nonviable, it means that the farther down the chain you are, the more likely the virus will end up being a little less contagious, a little less life-threatening.
Based on what has happened in other countries, and intuition. We aren't doing much different here. Why expect different results?

We don't really know that hundreds of thousands of people have been infected. This is the value of tests, but only if they work, of course.
Without them the death rate is reported as WAY too high.
