I do think it would be hilarious if a readily available and generic drug turned out to be the cure. It would also explain the apparent lack of cases in Africa as there is already wide dissemination of the proposed treatment due to malaria.
100% is dubious, and most certainly an artifact of massaging the data set, but I am willing to bet my $1,000 Trumpbux that Italy would accept a 50/50 cure right now.
Now that's something that would be one of those hilarious acts of random chance. Turns out all along it wasn't underreporting or lack of testing, its the chloroquinine from treatment of parasites swimming in people's blood.
