Received the census and will not be filling it out as was only provided an ID code to complete online. This is NOT how we should be filling out such things by the Government in this day in age to protect our private info.

Claims asks NO personal info but ask for names, ages, and birth dates of people in the home as well as origin, and race of each person. These are in FACT are PERSONAL questions. These questions also have NO bearing on what the purpose of the census is for per the actual census:

Results from 2020 census will be used to

  • Direct BILLIONS of dollars in federal funds to local communities for schools, roads, and other public services

  • Help your community prepare to meet transportation and emergency needs

  • Determine the number of seats each state has in the U.S. House of Representatives and your political representation at all levels of Government

The ONLY question that should be asked and required by law is:

How many legal citizens reside in your home yet there is NO question regarding citizenship status.

I’ve been putting off filling mine out. I’m in CA and the paperwork has a bunch of threatening language about how it’s required by law. Does anyone know if that’s true?

Yes its true. And if you dont fill it out, they will come to your house personally upwards of six separate times to get you in person if you don't send it in on your own.

Never completed the last census. Try coming to my house with your illegal census that doesn't record citizenship. I'll have you running out of the neighborhood like a scalded dog!

Nothing personal against you, that's just how important the citizenship question is.

The Constitution declares that a COUNT is required every 3 years. Says nothing about the other BS questions they always try to add. I always wait until they show up at my home and only give the number of people who reside here and nothing more.

Got mine today. Expected to open it up and fill it out. When I saw the code to enter online I threw it to the side like, wtf is this?

I have far less inclination to go online and play games about questions they already know.

I didn't fill mine out during Obama, because I was an insufferably suspicious bastard at that time. They came to my house repeatedly, and I told them no. They ended up asking one of my neighbors for info about me. The neighbor didn't rat me out, instead calling me to rat on the Feds.
