Your mortal remains will be hanging upside down in somebody's garage, being drained into an oil-change pan, with some HR manager tightening a series of ratcheting straps around your torso to get every last drop to satisfy the ravening crowd outside.

If you are serious, (sorry I cant tell) you can get Chloroquine from pet stores/vets.

I keep salt water fish and use it to treat them for disease.

This might help some of you. https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/chloroquine-phosphate.192309/

Thanks for the info man, I saw people on reddit saying psychosis was a common side effect and I figured no fucking way. Even if it were I think people would put up with it if it meant not dying or having lung damage. Glad it’s worked out well for you, hopefully it’s exactly what we need right now.

I drank Gin and Tonics all night last night. Feeling great today. HCQ is medical grade quinine, ie the thing that makes tonic water taste like shit. Now to be fair, you'd have to drink a half gallon of tonic to get the 200mg in one of those pills, but.. every little bit helps i hope.

So the crash won't even last long enough for me to buy cheap gas?

Fuck!

10
Hawkman 10 points ago +10 / -0

Lol what’s cheap gas? I live in California so I don’t get that pleasure. It’ll probably last a bit longer(it’s still down overall but last I saw poised to jump 10% tomorrow) but I have full faith in Trump to have it fixed after we get back to work.

4
WU_HAN_FRU 4 points ago +4 / -0

Cheap for me would be <$1.50. It's been over 20 years since I've seen that.

I've driven my car very little the past week. I have about a quarter tank, figured I'd wait until I'm running on fumes since there's no way the price is going up anytime soon, right?

I remember being ~22 or so in about 1995 with 97 cent gas and it was a good feeling.

7
chipitin 7 points ago +7 / -0

I saw $1.80 today. Shocked me.

4

2

Feels a bit like diworsification but highly recommended by reputable authors

4
VanishMantle 4 points ago +4 / -0

When I get paid next week I plan to start investing. What do you use to invest and track investments?

6
BlackJack 6 points ago +6 / -0

Vanguard or fidelity. Fidelity has zero minimum, vannguard will be around $200 or $1000 depending on the investment you choose. The best is an s&p 500 fund. That's Warren Buffet's recommendation.

5
CQVFEFE 5 points ago +5 / -0

Vanguard has the lowest fees, great reputation, and their founder invented index mutual funds.

Both cos. have insane customer svc too.

2

35
rethek 35 points ago +38 / -3

Does anybody have a link to the segment he was on? According to the comments on twitter they fudged the numbers so they only reported on the people it worked on, and that the recovery time was equal to how long it takes a normal healthy immune system to fight off the coronavirus anyway. Despite it's claim, I've heard this isn't truly peer reviewed, so be careful with assuming its an effective treatment.

16
Barbs 16 points ago +19 / -3

Agreed. I really want this to be something positive, but at the same time it needs to go through formal FDA review and trials too. If they say we’re good to go, then hot damn, the future will look that much brighter.

24
TickleMissle 24 points ago +25 / -1

The FDA is the most bureaucratic and inefficient regulatory agency in our government. Not saying you can't trust their approval. Just don't expect an approval from them any time soon.

6
RahkeemTheMachine 6 points ago +7 / -1

Sorry, bill gates needs his vaccine and subsequent “digital certificate” you get with it to happen

2
Shakakka99 2 points ago +3 / -1

When it comes to something like this? I'm thinking someone shoves a sharp stick up their ass. The only acceptable delays in approval would be them saying "ouch!"

20
AslanFan 20 points ago +20 / -0

CHLOROQUINE and HYDROCHLOROQUINE have been in use for decades...not for Kung Flu...so not sure why it would have to go through FDA trials again.

I can understand why trials need to occur to consider it a treatment for COVID-19, but having dosed millions of people over the years should offer some shortcut.

12
catbertz 12 points ago +12 / -0

I'm positive he's aware of people studying it for this situation. A reporter mentioned this drug to Dr. Deborah Birx from the task force. She was aware and knowledgeable about the research, but I think she said something like the jury was still out on its effectiveness.

He has said repeatedly that various treatments were undergoing trials. Since this is what is being used in Asia I imagine this is one of those trials. You can't just deploy a treatment to the masses without considering the possible side effect of the treatment having a higher mortality rate than the virus. So far it looks really promising.

5
AslanFan 5 points ago +5 / -0

The Fox WH correspondent asked about it at the 03/18/20 presser (his second question)...at about 59 minutes from the start of the presser.

The response was that it had to be tested in patients as a treatment.

1
WaxMyBallsBernie 1 point ago +2 / -1

Options trading is gambling.

Just put your money in a total market index fund and keep contributing / don't sell

1
jomten 1 point ago +1 / -0

This. No one knows what the market will do in the future. If they did they would be the richest people on the planet. Sometimes it works out. Alot of times it doesn’t.

1
Hawkman 1 point ago +1 / -0

You don’t have to know what the market is going to do every day. But you can be pretty damn confident about the general direction. I knew in Feb that the market mess was likely(just not quite this severe).

1
Hawkman 1 point ago +1 / -0

It CAN be gambling but there’s been no gambling about it this last month. It was pretty much free money. There are times where if you do enough research the option is obvious. Look at how many people(myself among them) are going to retire early on WSB because of anticipating this and loading puts.

You can do a total market index fund but you won’t see the kind of growth you could. It depends on how passive/active you want to be with your portfolio. At the very least I’d do research and pick stocks your confident in, along with blue chip stocks. Just keep it diversified.

5

Any blue chip will do, also SPY will probably make a great comeback, USO is also real low and oversold once things settle with oil I expect it to be back into double digits easy.

4
hackthefortress 4 points ago +4 / -0

Thanks for the info - thoughts on TLSA? Taken a huge hit - especially since everyone is riding it's dick on WSB?

4
Hawkman 4 points ago +4 / -0

I’m torn in TSLA tbh. I think it has room to fall still but I’m personally tempted to get in, at least a little bit and worst case average down if it does drop more. So I would say if you do go in on it just don’t do it all at once. TSLA does have a lot to show for it at least unlike WSB other great love earlier this year, SPCE.

I’m going to probably wait until Monday to make my decision on it, even though I expect Friday to be green/have a bit EoD pump that will rally the whole market, I am worried that we can see another bloody Monday depending on how things develop over the weekend.

Also, once IV dies down I’m going to do some serious work on looking for more great companies I can get long dated calls on. There will be a lot of potential for those to pay with Trump winning in Nov and the bull market returning.

Most 401k, Index, ETF investors don’t get it. Their funds are not just the face value but a timeline of stocks bought at different prices - this is why you contribute in good and bad times. By selling you don’t only lose the bottomline loss but the potential to bounce back and continue to grow long-term.

1
BanditKing 1 point ago +1 / -0

This! If the market is going down and you keep buying. You will lower the average cost of the shares you own. So it'll rocket up faster when things go back to normal. I had stocks worth $15-20 each and was able to get my average cost down to 5 bucks. They will survive as its just panic so when they go back to normal prices I'll have made $10-15. Off each stock.

When I started buying Gold it was between $270-$273 per troy ounce. Today's opening price $1,494.00 per troy ounce. I am still buying at that price. Gold is only going up.
