"Gender" is a grammatical term which applies to all kinds of things including inanimate objects. The crazies found it easy to hijack the term "gender", because normal people had taken to using it as a synonym for "sex" out of some prudish discomfort with using the word SEX because it has an alternate meaning in (gasp!) having sex. And then the crazies invented a bunch of "genders" for people, claimed "gender" was subjective, and started spreading the completely false claim that locker rooms and public restrooms and sports teams had always been segregated by what they call "gender".
We need a sex-bot around here, to issue a gentle correction every time somebody uses the term "gender".
It's pretty crazy how quickly they were able to accomplish this. Look at google trends for things like "gender of my baby" vs "sex of my baby" and you can see how fast the media can get normies to modify their behavior.
