The irony is that these are the least interesting subs anyway. They're popular because they're for a general audience, so they'll see a lot of ordinary people going there for a laugh, or to rant, or whatever. But the more interesting subs, the ones that contain valuable information and value, tend to be smaller because they have more focused topics, like r/dota2, r/piano, r/watches, r/flashlight, r/buyitforlife, etc.
