Just remember, the reason we can't have better/more immigration is because of entitlement programs. We just can't afford it. That would also create a scenario where Mexican workers would wonder "what the fuck am I still doing in Mexico" and come work for us, and the Mexican ruling class would quickly crumble.

Who composes that oligarchy? The Mexican people. I refuse to accept the idea that they are helpless victims of something external. The reason the cartels and politicians are corrupt is that their society is corrupt, from the family on up. Not all, but most.
They can absolutely change it if they changed their spirit and attitude to reflect the best in themselves. No one taught the Germans or Americans how to do things efficiently or respect individual rights. Those were fought for and earned through effort.
Seriously. It's not like they're under an occupying army.
It's their own fucking children and neighbors who are running off, excited at the idea that they get to chainsaw off people's heads for the cartel. It's their own fucking brothers and sisters who are excited to join the military just to steal all the guns and sell them to cartels. It's their own fucking parents who are leaping at the chance to go into government so they can steal everything that isn't nailed down.
Don't feel bad. Now, I'm only referring the people who cross the border illegally, and not the good men and women who respect international law and make the best of their own homes...
The people who do this are selfish opportunists. Period. Yes, they can be nice, and they can be friendly, and they can be tons of fun to hang with, but the only thing they care about is themselves and their immediate kin. They don't give a shit about their community, their living environment, or the nation. They're fine if other people (Americans) are running the things, but leave them to their own devices, and everything goes to shit. (This might be why liberals like them so much.)
I've lived, worked, and befriended enough illegal immigrant Central and South Americans to know this is truth. But again, this DOES NOT apply to those who came here legally. On the whole, they are an entirely different breed of people, and I know this from experience, too.
If these people don't give a fuck about their own country, why should we trust them to give a fuck about a nation that they have zero connection to, and no heritage within?
Anyone who thinks these people wouldn't steal everything and turn America into a narco-state if we gave them the keys for even a month is a fucking idiot. That's what they did to literally every single country in Latin America they control.
