Why is a Chinese national the head of any team at a US biotech firm? Well, she is a former employee now... Hope whatever she stole was worth it.

I remember reading the story of a guy in England who caught the plague and self-quarantined. We anglos were raised on stories of men who sacrifice for women and the community, and our idol was Jesus who died so others might live.

It's not just the Chinese that act like this. That is the natural state of the world. We grew up surrounded by Christian men thinking it is normal but it is not.

God bless America!

This is the main problem I have with many leftists beliefs about other cultures: they refuse to acknowledge they're different. They treat Islam like it's another denomination of Christianity. They act like a Chinese person is the same as a second generation American who is ethnically Chinese. They're not. Other nation's and religions have a completely different culture, value system, and character. In the West, we value ideals like Truth. Other cultures esteem Getting One Over the Other Guy by Lying If It Works. We value self sacrifice. Other culture value sacrificing others for one's own momentary gain. We don't steal. They say you deserve to be stolen from if you're weak. Leftists refuse to see this.

Read any of their most popular Chinese stories (whether old classics or modern comics), or hear testimonials from people who regularly work/live with Chinese nationals, and you'll see why:

China, like many Asian countries, prides itself on "Face", a very complex topic that can be partially described as "being made to appear powerful/smart/wealthy", but China also believes in Confucianism and Taoism, two philosophies focused around humility and inner peace over material possessions or supremacy. This can often result in conflicting interests (wanting to appear humble while wanting others to feed your pride, wanting to appear non-materialistic while gaining vast assets, etc.), often expressed most directly by the merchant stalls where you have to haggle extensively and display your knowledge about the product being sold (or the fraud/forgery being passed off as the real thing to you) to get the best deal, or by the regular depictions of entire families allying with each other publicly only to secretly plot on betraying one another and stealing the riches/power for themselves.

This also extends to China's internal affairs control and their foreign policy decisions:

They claim that they want to protect the South China Sea, but really they just want to forcibly expand into the region and gain uncontested control of everything there.
They claim that they want to help stop "COVID-19", but really they tried violently suppressing the #WuhanVirus as much as they could until it started jumping the border, at which point they started trying to blame anyone but themselves for their failure.
They claim that they want to maintain global supply chains by keeping manufacturing running in their country after their outbreak finally showed signs of slowing down, but really they're trying to jump the gap to a fully-industrialized/-modernized country by stealing everyone else's tech and subsidizing their own cheap ripoff versions for their own use/sale, and a global supply chain shift away from China would doom their current efforts to years/decades of continued failure.

No it’s like how ppl in other countries thinking all Americans are assholes because they meet tourists, but in my experience they think the Chinese tourists are worse.

Anyone who voluntarily goes to China takes their life into their own hands. Don't go into third world socialist dictatorships.

Sucks to be her. BTW, this must have happened a while ago. I thought that passenger flights between the U.S. and China were suspended.

Officially, maybe.

In actuality, she probably got a military promotion, a medal, and the best care available.
