I went to the grocery store in California to pick up some food. Everyone was wiping shopping cart handles, wearing gloves and masks, and carrying their dirty, bacteria ridden reusable bags into the store.
These bags a known to be dirty, as they sit in the trunk or floor of your car. You then plop them into the basket of the grocery cart, put your food in it, and then leave. Gifting the germs to the next patron.
California banned single use plastic bags to save oceans and landfills. It's now time to save lives.

This is true. I personally think these straws are a step in the right direction. But more research and development needs to be done to make a good biodegradable solution.
If someone can make something that does not turn my 6hr old soda into the flavor of cardboard, I'll stop making fun of it. Its gross enough warm and deflated when I'm busy, and I do not want to feel like I'm licking a box. Theres only so much self hate I can handle.
