With the 300,000 people hospitalized for swine flu, was there a shortage of hospital beds, or was it spread out over time and location? Seems like if there were a shortage of beds and a rapid rate of infection we would remember?
Exactly. And this is the major concern about this virus, that makes it different. So many people here are seemingly incapable of fathoming the idea of hospitals getting overwhelmed... even though it's already happened in Italy! How many US cities/states will that need to happen to, before people wake up?
