The shift to online classes will demonstrate that most professors are completely unnecessary. How many good stats classes does the world need? How many good Chemistry 101 classes does the world need? Maybe 10? We certainly don't need 1 at every university across the country. (Yes I first heard this idea from Jordan Peterson and it's a good idea and it's mine now).

Well, I gotta disagree on chemistry. you need access to bunson burners and a ton of glassware to say nothing of the actual agents required to understand the reactions.

But philosophy can absolutely be taught online. Same with History, English, or Business courses, to say nothing of the bullshit nonsense courses.

Sure, I said Chem 101 imagining it was not a lab class but you clearly get my point.

Speaking of Peterson, he's fine with hours and hours and hours of his own classes being recorded and posted online.... Hrm, wonder what the difference is?
