I don't care how inconvenient or expensive it may be. Fuck China.

And you believe a report from the Communist Party of China... Seriously?

They will never recover from the damage they have done to all the countries of the world. And you better believe their people are still dying from their evil creation of the China Virus.

I'm not exactly sure how out people would have any better an estimate than the fudged numbers being fed to us by CCP. What are they, walking around counting corpses? I'm sure there's more advanced methods but considering we only recently got on board, I doubt a few spies/experts can get info. And if we do have more accurate numbers than CCP admits to, it's not like anyone outside the intelligence community has access to it, so what makes you so confident?

I think you're mistaking "widely circulated" with "well known".

just because all the major media networks are saying it so doesn't mean that it's so.

That's just circular reporting.

1
DaNangDick 1 point ago +1 / -0

Exactly. And the MSM reporters are FAR from being "our people".

"Latest figures released by China Mobile show that they have lost 8.116 million users in Jan and Feb."

Harbor Freight, never again. Everything I ever bought there broke quickly. Better to just go to home depot and buy something that will last.

Perhaps we can start with purchasing refurbished electronics such as computers and cell phones from local repair shops. I purchased my samsung refurbished and it's held up great and my money went to an american business. I'm sure parts are sourced from china but i feel a bit better because I'm not directly feeding the beast

9
LugNuts 9 points ago +9 / -0

You ain't the only one. Good luck with basic electronics and parts.

12
uzi5v2 12 points ago +12 / -0

This is sadly true for some products but if you could cut down on ANY products you currently buy from them they’ll feel the impact when you multiply it out over millions of patriots doing the same thing.

2
GrabLifeByThePussy 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yep. Imagine if everyone cut back on Chinese made products 10%. I know we're not they're only market, but we are their biggest market and if Americans were to make a concerted effort to reduce buying products made in China, they would definitely feel the squeeze. And 10% is a large amount.

Walmart needs a reformation. I can't buy anything from Walmart that isn't complete garbage. It's not even a joke anymore. It's just fucking sad.

Be careful on Amazon. I had to shop a loooong time for a jacket that wasn't made in China.

5
Dirk_Diggler 5 points ago +5 / -0

I hear ya, but ultimately the ugly truth of it all, and what maybe some will wake up to, finally, is that our economy does so well because as primarily consumers and not producers of many products, we have been able to enjoy a lot of comforts at low costs, because we exploit China's virtually slave labor. Companies, including but definitely not limited to, Apple bank on getting their phones/computers made for cheap to market their phones/computers to make them "competitive." An apple product made 100% American would carry an exclusive and astronomical cost. A lot of shit is made that way. And we trade tiny bits of ourselves to do it. Getting nickeled and dimed in a slow economic death.

Best you can try and do is consciously try to avoid whenever possible to buying their shit. Just know you will sacrifice some comfort and convenience for peace of mind. Back when I was a kid, my father/grandfather were hard up "Buy American", with the bumper stickers to boot. It made some people roll their eyes being as zealous as that, but it definitely makes more sense these days.

I think it's hard for a lot of people to think about how things could be because all they can think about is how things have been for so long.

We definitely have the know-how and the manpower to make things domestically at least most things. Imagine there's always going to be some need for cheap consumer products. But certain things like food, medicine, vehicles, steel and other metals, we should definitely try to do domestically. I imagine what's the level of automation that exists these days, making more electronics domestically shouldn't be that hard. It would certainly employ a lot of people And I'm sure the quality would go up significantly

5
GernBlanston1 5 points ago +5 / -0

That will be extremely difficult.

1
no_step_on_snek 1 point ago +1 / -0

It is next to impossible actually.

Partition China! Give Manchuria and the East back to Japan and Hong Kong back to UK. Macau to the Dutch or whoever...I'm sure the Portuguese have a slice somewhere too (Canton?).

大和魂を新興する!新アジア共栄圏は直ぐに始めるよ!日本の為に万歳!

Oh sorry, my Japanese nationalism broke out again. They would never do this, they are so badgered about their past. I can't even get Japanese people to admit Shinzo Abe was right to start distancing from China. The Samurai spirit has been completely pacified.

1
GrabLifeByThePussy 1 point ago +1 / -0

It's not just Japan. I feel like most decent societies have been completely neutered over the last 50 years. Look at the Scandinavian countries, those look like they have the Viking spirit still? Or once proud warrior group of people completely bowing to savages who rape and attack them.

Look at the British and the problem they're having with Pakistani rape gangs.

Germans, same.

The civilized world needs to grow a spine again and reclaim itself.

EpicTrump 4 points ago +4 / -0

Don’t start with the boycott of American companies who have products made in China. They employ millions of Americans. When we can go back to work and get our economy rolling again, then start looking at the label. Great companies are looking for other locations to manufacture their products but that isn’t something that happens with the flip of a switch. I agree that China needs to be held responsible for this catastrophe but don’t add to the hardship of American businesses right now.

Me either. I have made a living as an antiiques dealer selling and buying Chinese antiques. I can't even look at these items anymore, because to me they represent a history of severe crimes against humanity and against animals. Screw that country and any product that comes out of it.

This was a thing in the 2000s I'm happy to see it is making a comeback. Donald Trump and many others warned of this back then and no one listened even in the midst of the great recession.

2
HumansDisgustMe 2 points ago +2 / -0

Tough now. Be easy to do soon. Instead of nuking them And going to war, let us just cut China off from the USA completely.

2

You're responding to this using parts in a computer from China. Your next fuckng phone call will be on a phone with Chinese parts. You'll be buying things made in China...you cant help it ATM

Yes you will don't be dumb. You may try to avoid it but plenty that you need is not made elsewhere or has parts and materials that are sourced from there. Supply chains start where the materials are economically viable to produce. Goods are so complex these days that it is impossible to buy something not ultimately sourced from many different locations. This is especially true for machinery and electronics. There's probably shit you own that has Chinese made stuff in it that you don't even know about. Where is the polymer shielding covering the wire on your "made in the USA" tabletop lamp from? I bet you 20 bucks you have no idea.
