It really seems to me that the government, and many people, are getting excited over this new virus and doing something for us or for themselves just for the sake of doing something. I understand most of us don't know all about it and the doctors and scientists are still figuring out what stops it(though as time goes on, it seems to be much less lethal than we were told to believe), but can I say government overreach? Ordering all non-essential businesses to close? Who decides what is and isn't essential? I also don't like this idea of sending a check to people 'that qualify' who earn a certain income, while those who earn more get left out. Imposing bans on purchasing guns and alcohol in places, while others declare curfew hours, all the while telling people they can't work but will receive a nice government check. This is straight out of the socialist playbook if you ask me!

I know it's temporary, which is why I said 'trial run'. I guess my point would be to stop sending everyone home and making them need a check until that's absolutely necessary. For really bad areas, I get it. But my area has been almost shut down for over a week, and we have one case. It's just overkill in most places, in my opinion.

I wish they had a place where you had to apply for this government check so I could opt out!

I was thinking that(if I get one without asking, and I do qualify) a new AR would be nice. But if we'll be expected to pay it back, I will probably just bank it.
