Long story short, no corona detected :) but I feel absolutely terrible and have a ways to go with whatever cocktail I picked up. Thank you to those well wishers and straight up good people saying positive things.
(Guy from your other post): Congratulations. Sucks you still have a flu, but at least its not the one we don't know much about.
Sodium ascorbate. Order and eat a ton. It's vitamin c that works really well. Good luck!
Eat it no more than about a gram a day, though, or you will get the runs.
if only we had some toilet paper...
That's why you need a bidet. Feel like you're in a fight for dominance with your toilet. You squirt it. It squirts you.
I'm good for about 8 grams before I get the runs, but I'm 6'4" and 275lbs, so someone smaller might have a lower limit.
Definitely splurge on the TIMED RELEASE vitamin C 1000 so you don't get rot gut.
I take 4000mgs/day of these with no side effects.
The funny thing is some people get really sick from the flu every year or so, and that isn't stopping, and most of them are going to think it might be the corona. You can't sniffle now without people looking at you.
I go for years without catching anything, but after my mom died I got super sick three times in six months. For me it has more to do with my overall state of health and stress than it does with germs floating around
People forget exactly what stress can do to the body and how dangerous it can be, because it interferes with your ability to sleep well, eat well, and take care of yourself. Even small amounts of stress can have serious cumulative effects.
I was busting ass last summer working long hours and getting very little sleep. Then bam. Random summer flu out of nowhere. That was a warning sign I needed to adjust my habits.
There was a great saying I saw somewhere along the lines of "If you don't pick a day off, your body will pick one for you."
So very true. I had 5 years of stress that got worse toward the end while my mom was ill. I was spared during those five years, but within an hour of her death my throat started to swell and I was flat out for over a week. Too sick to even watch Netflix, just a zombie.
I'm really sorry to hear that, my friend. I can't begin to imagine what you were going through during that time, much less 5 years of trials and tribulations.
It sounds like at the end of it all, the bottom quite literally fell out. I can't think of any other way to describe it.
I pray you're doing much better now, most especially since it sounds as if she's in a better place. Years and years of care-taking places a tremendous burden on the family member(s) left to partake. I don't think anyone fully appreciates the truism in this until they're subject to it, because it's impossible explain.
It has been 18 months and I am much better. About 8 months after my mom died she visited me in a dream and she is very happy now. I saw what she was like with her spirit free of her physical limitations including mental health problems. It was an incredible gift. It was an honor and privilege to be able to help as much as I could and many friends have done far more for their parents. She lived and died the way she wanted to and was able to never set foot in a nursing home as that was her greatest fear.
Absolutely beautiful reply. Amazing! Also, bless you for doing everything you could to keep here away from those dreadful, awful places.
Take care of yourself, bud. At this point, you absolutely deserve it.
Your mother is resting in peace in part because she raised a child whose compassion knows no bounds. I'm just some random guy on the Internet, and I want you to know that you are blessed with a beautiful and unique gift that few possess.
Never forget that.
Aww you are so sweet. My parents did their best. They were raging alcoholics until I was 13 and suffered from mental issues. I got some grief from family for the help I gave. Thing is they did the best with the tools they had and they gave me the skills I needed to have a great life. They highly prioritized education even in the chaos. Mental health is an invisible disability. I credit all the good things in my life to the struggles I had young. I believe the struggles the millenials will be going through with the virus and such will all forge a stronger group of people. Everything in life is an opportunity. I feel the same about some of the struggling young pedes here, they have an opportuity to be forged into something greater if they grasp it. If you were to meet my mom in a public place you would never see the crazy, but spend enough time and it seeps out.
Godspeed pede!
Get you some good vitamins and nutrients, make that immune system unstoppable.
Glad to hear the news. Best wishes and get well!
Good news. Get well soon.
Thx for the update!
Excellent news...kind of, huh? Prayers for a speedy recovery!
Whatever you have, we hope you feel better ASAP.
Take some zinc since it appears to be good for what ails you...
Try some zinc lozenges.
If you were a liberal you would be at a Trump rally coughing on people. Unbelievable the contrast. Good luck
Go with God
Get well soon
Thanks for the update. Be good to yourself. Heal quickly.
Get well soon!
Yaaay!
Thanks for the update and I hope you feel better soon!
Everyone feels like crap this time of year from colds, flu and allergies. Sorry u have the flu! Hope u feel better soon!
HUGS for you, Fren<3
Theraflu saved my damn life multiple times when I got really nasty cases of flu in the past. Tastes nasty, but it keeps your throat inflammation down and keeps it from hurting (e.g. allows you to resist coughing, etc.) while you recover.
Other than that, Godspeed & our prayers are with ya.
I’ve taken astraxanthan and echinacea for 6 years now and I haven’t even had so much as a sniffle or cough. Try it out and thank me later
Glad you are WuFlu free! Get well, pede!
Hey man if you got any nasty messages rest assured that they are butthurt commies probably from Creddit just trying to be edgy and offensive towards well intentioned users.
Don't worry, their degenerate lifestyles will catch up to them quick.
Thanks for the update, glad you don't have it
Great to hear! (About COVID at least). And thanks for the update.
Good luck! I hope you studied well!
You got it, ‘pede. Congrats and good luck
