Eating bats from unsanitary wet markets is just a cultural thing that we need to accept because that diversity makes us stronger.

No way is that the origin. It came from a lab. Other threads here with great links to all the reasons why.

Why not both? Hear me out. The wet market in Wuhan is close enough to the Wuhan virology laboratory. What does that lab do with their test animals? Who knows. Heck, one could have escaped and just followed the smell. The rest is... Well, the present.

It could have been both. Employees at this lab have already admitted that they have sold the test animals from the Lab to the wet market for extra money.

Do you have a link?

i remember seeing this in a twatter-linked article, several weeks ago. no link, but i do remember.

the other day, my guy said, "well, this is clearly mother nature." wth? i thought he'd lost his mind. he said, (and was only half-joking) that the animals are about sick and tired of us, and diseases like bird/swine/bat/etc flu were their revenge.

i'm a former lic. vet-tech (er & surgery), rescuer of 30 years, supporter of critter charities. i actually think bats are sort of cute and i'm impressed by their sonar. i would never eat one, would never eat anything that i could "adopt." so my guy figures we're probably safe and the Angel of Death (currently the corona virus) will pass over us.

Jesus Christ what is wrong with people

Why not both?

I buy this theory because the timing is too early.

They probably intended to release it closer to the general election.

Trump said "they could have warned us sooner", meaning what we're all seeing now in the response could have happened and should have happened sooner.

You understimate the conditions. There's a reason china has been the birthplace of pandemics for more than a thousand years, and it's not secret commie bio weapon conspiracies.

Every worldwide pandemic that has ever happened in history has originated in China, or just across its southern border in a southeast Asian region with similar culture.

The bubonic plague, the "Spanish" Flu, SARS, swine flu, bird flu, and even the YEARLY common flu. I could find no exceptions when I researched it - every worldwide pandemic comes from that region.

I prefer to buy my butchered meat wrapped in plastic from a refrigerated display.

Do you not do that? Or refrigerate your food?

Get the fuck out of here, gaylord.

You disinfo Chinabot.

SARS-CoV-2 (I.e. the virus that causes covid-19) was manufactured in a bioweapon facility in Wuhan.

"Bat soup, fish market, etc" all that is a stupid cover story, and the world knows it.

It’s plausible, I’d say likely that it was army personnel who contracted the virus from the lab and spread it to the wet market. Although, employees of other labs have sold other testing animals at wet markets before and spread sickness and disease.

jaaardstyck 1 point ago +2 / -1

That's what I think happened, or a rat escaped and followed the smell to find food.

-3
bakerlevi -3 points ago +4 / -7

STFU CHINABOT.

It wasn't "soldiers".

It was a deep state cult of Satanists who manufactured this in a bioweapons lab.

4
ProdigalPlaneswalker 4 points ago +4 / -0

I agree it was most likely made in their labs. But the timing is too early. They probably intended to release the virus closer to the November election. "October Surprise."

Poonjazzler1 2 points ago +3 / -1

Lmao? China bot?

That bsl-4 lab is under direct supervision by the Chinese military so yes it was likely a soldier who contracted the virus at the lab and carried it to the Wuhan market. That or an employee. If this was a truly intentional release of the virus it would likely be wielded against Hong Kong protesters, muslims in re-education camps etc or another thorn in China’s thigh. Given what we know, this is the least likely scenario to be speculating about

The way they torture their dog "food" deserves a nuke from orbit. It's unlawful to even speak of what they do.

DemocratDumpsterFire 5 points ago +5 / -0

Dogs are so pure. Those who torture any food can fuck off straight to hell as far as I’m concerned
