I mean, humans are attracted to those who are biologically different exactly because it raises our chances of at least some of the population having immunity to certain diseases, therefore allowing the human race to survive. If everyone was the same we would be absolutely fine for a long time until one disease wiped out the entire human race.

I's say the existence of unique cultures and the fact that all humans don't look like the same NPC speaks to the contrary.

That and as far as I can tell- diseases don't really discriminate.

Who's to say that the mixing of the gene pool wouldn't create a vulnerability that from which has no escape because everyone is the same?
