I remember that I used to say it as well when I was younger. Now, it's practically non-existent and garners derision. (my mom is not a violent felon; it was just a saying)
I’m probably your mom’s age or close to it. I’ve used the phrase thousands of times in my life ... in private. Therein lies the difference. Neither your mom or I have ever gone on a public forum and declared this as a policy preference.
There is a huge difference between euphemisms we use in private conversation and things we declare publicly in the media, but the Left refuses to understand this.
